Is the spray paint safe for participants with sensory sensitivities?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to ensure all participants are safe from fumes and paint. Our artists are trained to supervise the use of spray cans closely, and we always choose well-ventilated outdoor spots or large indoor spaces in Jakarta to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone involved.

Can the workshop be adapted for different ability levels?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being flexible. Whether your group needs a shorter session to maintain focus, more frequent breaks, or a specific type of background music to create a calming atmosphere, we can adjust. Just let us know your requirements during the booking process, and we will tailor the Jakarta workshop to suit your specific needs.

How much does a special needs graffiti workshop cost?

We don't have a fixed price because every special needs workshop is unique. Costs depend on the number of participants, the amount of materials needed, and the specific location in Jakarta. We offer a transparent quoting process with no hidden fees, and the best part is you only pay after the workshop is successfully completed!

How long does a typical session last?

Most of our workshops last between 1.5 and 3 hours. For our special needs programs, we often find that a 2-hour session is the 'sweet spot'—it provides enough time to learn and create without becoming overly exhausting. We move at your pace, so if we need to slow down or finish early, that's perfectly fine.

What types of special needs do you cater for?

Our workshops are designed to be fully inclusive. We have experience working with individuals with autism, Down syndrome, physical disabilities, and ADHD. Our artists use encouraging, simplified instructions and physical aids if necessary to ensure that every participant, regardless of their physical or cognitive profile, can feel the joy of spray painting.

Do we need to provide our own materials or safety gear?

You don't need to bring a thing! Graffitifun provides everything required for a world-class street art experience. This includes premium spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' itself—which could be a wall, a board, or individual canvases to take home. Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes!

How do we book a workshop in Jakarta?

We’ll discuss your specific requirements, confirm a date, and assign a professional artist. Remember, there's no upfront payment required, so you can book with total peace of mind.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for a special needs program in Jakarta? Street art is more than just paint on a wall; it’s a powerful tool for building confidence and motor skills. Here is why our Jakarta sessions are so special:

Sensory Engagement: The vibrant colours, the sound of the spray, and the movement of the arm provide a rich sensory experience that is both stimulating and soothing. ✨
No "Right" Way: Unlike traditional painting, graffiti is forgiving. There are no mistakes in street art, which helps reduce anxiety and boosts self-esteem. 🏆
Expert Guidance: Our artists are patient, encouraging, and experts at breaking down complex tasks into simple, achievable steps. 💪
Fully Inclusive: We adapt our equipment and techniques for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility, ensuring everyone can participate fully. 🎤
Community Connection: Working on a shared mural fosters a sense of belonging and teamwork among participants. 🎉
Peace of Mind: With our "no upfront payment" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us to discuss the specific needs and interests of your group so we can tailor the experience perfectly.
Design your concept: Our artists help the group brainstorm ideas, choosing colours and themes that resonate with the participants.
Safety briefing: We start the day by getting everyone suited up in protective gear and explaining how to use the equipment safely and comfortably.
Can control practice: Participants get a feel for the spray cans by making simple marks, dots, and lines on a practice surface.
Outline building: With the help of our professional artists, we begin sketching the main shapes of our Jakarta masterpiece.
The big fill-in: This is the fun part! Everyone grabs a can and starts adding vibrant colours to the design, focusing on texture and flow.
Adding details: Our artists guide participants in adding highlights, shadows, and 'splatter' effects to make the artwork pop.
Final reveal & photos: We step back to admire the collective creation and take group photos to remember the amazing day.
Clean up & take home: We handle all the tidying up, and if we worked on canvases, you get to take your art home immediately!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Jakarta is a city bursting with hidden artistic gems, from the mural-lined walls of Glodok to the contemporary galleries in South Jakarta. The local street art scene is known for its resilience and community spirit, which is exactly the vibe we bring to our workshops. Jakarta's "Kampung" culture emphasizes looking out for one another, and our inclusive programs are a reflection of that local warmth. We often draw inspiration from the city's iconic landmarks or its bustling daily life to give our workshops a truly local feel.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Jakarta's street art scene is influential across Southeast Asia? Many local artists use graffiti to celebrate Indonesian culture, blending traditional motifs with modern spray-painting techniques! 🎨
