Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority in Västerås. We provide high-quality protective gear, including overalls, gloves, and high-standard masks. Our professional artists are trained to guide participants of all abilities, ensuring the spray cans are handled correctly and everyone feels secure. We choose well-ventilated locations and use professional-grade supplies to make sure the environment is as comfortable as it is creative.

How do you adapt the workshop for different ability levels?

We believe art should be accessible to everyone. Our Västerås team is experienced in adapting workshops for various physical and cognitive requirements. We can adjust the height of the painting surfaces, provide specialised nozzle caps that are easier to press, and structure the session with extra breaks or simplified instructions. Just let us know your specific needs, and we will tailor the experience to fit perfectly.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A typical special needs graffiti session in Västerås lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This timeframe is ideal because it allows for an introduction, practice time, and the creation of a final masterpiece without becoming overly tiring. We can always shorten or extend the duration based on the group's energy levels and attention spans—we are completely flexible to your schedule!

What materials are included in the workshop price?

Everything is included! When you book a workshop with us, we provide all the professional spray paint, a wide variety of caps (nozzles), protective clothing, and boards or canvases to paint on. You don't need to bring a thing except for your enthusiasm and some old shoes. We handle the setup and the cleanup, so you can focus entirely on the artistic fun.

Can you come to our specific location in Västerås?

We can host our workshops at various inspiring locations around Västerås, or we can bring the graffiti studio to you! If you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area at your facility, our mobile team can set up everything on-site. This is often a great option for special needs groups who feel more comfortable in a familiar everyday environment.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our friendly professional artists will guide the group through every step, from holding the can to creating cool shapes and shadows. We focus on the joy of creation rather than technical perfection. In our Västerås sessions, everyone discovers their inner artist, regardless of their previous experience with a paintbrush or spray can.

What is the recommended group size for these sessions?

To ensure everyone gets the attention and support they need, we generally recommend group sizes of 5 to 20 participants for special needs programmes. However, we are very flexible. If you have a larger group, we can bring in additional professional artists to maintain a high level of individual guidance. We want to ensure every participant feels empowered and successful in their creative journey.

Local culture

Västerås has a fantastic spirit of community, and we love bringing our workshops to this historic "Cucumber City"! From the scenic views of Lake Mälaren to the industrial-cool backdrop of the old factory districts, there is inspiration everywhere you look. The local art scene here is growing, and we are proud to contribute by making street art accessible to everyone in the community. 🇸🇪

Fun fact: Västerås isn't just known for its history and industry; it's also home to the world-famous "Power Big Meet," one of the largest car shows globally. Much like those custom-painted vintage cars, our graffiti workshops are all about personal style and standing out from the crowd! 🎨
