Is the paint used in the workshop safe for everyone?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our artist-facilitators are trained to manage the environment, ensuring everyone stays safe while having a blast. In Helsingborg, we select spacious, well-ventilated locations to ensure the air stays fresh and the creative vibes keep flowing safely for everyone involved.

Do participants need prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our Special Needs Program in Helsingborg is designed for all skill levels. Whether you have never held a spray can or you are a natural doodler, our professional artists guide you through every step. We focus on the 'fun' in fundamentals. We use techniques like stencilling and tape-art to help participants create impressive results regardless of their previous artistic experience.

Are the workshop locations in Helsingborg wheelchair accessible?

We believe graffiti should be accessible to everyone. Our Helsingborg workshops are fully mobile, meaning we can come to your specific facility if it has better accessibility features, or we can host you at one of our wheelchair-friendly partner sites. We adapt our easels and workspace heights to ensure that every participant, regardless of mobility, can reach the canvas and express themselves fully.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard special needs sessions usually last between 1.5 and 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus without causing fatigue. However, we are totally flexible! If the group needs a slower pace with more frequent breaks, or a shorter, high-impact session, just let us know and we will tailor the schedule to your needs.

What should participants prepare before the workshop?

Preparation is key for a stress-free day! We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little 'artistic' (just in case). We provide the suits, but accidents happen! Also, bring your enthusiasm. If there are specific sensory needs or triggers we should be aware of, please tell us in advance so our artists can adapt their coaching style accordingly.

How do you adapt the workshop for different types of disabilities?

We believe in 'total inclusion.' Our team is experienced in working with various needs, including ADHD, autism, Down syndrome, and physical disabilities. We adapt our communication, use visual aids if necessary, and adjust the sensory environment (like reducing noise) to make sure every individual feels comfortable, respected, and empowered to create something they are truly proud of.

Local culture

Helsingborg is a city that breathes culture, from the historic heights of Kärnan to the modern, artistic vibes of the Oceanhamnen district. Our workshops draw inspiration from the city's unique blend of old-world charm and contemporary street style. We love the local "Helsingborger" spirit of innovation and inclusivity, which we pour into every session we host here.

Fun Fact: Did you know Helsingborg is home to one of the most vibrant street art scenes in Skåne? The city frequently hosts murals that celebrate local history, making it the perfect backdrop for your own creative journey!

Whether we are setting up near the breezy shores of the Öresund or at a local community centre, the local scenery always adds an extra layer of magic to our creative process. We are proud to be part of the Helsingborg community, helping to make the local art world accessible to everyone.
