Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior drawing skills or artistic background are needed for our Helsingborg after-school workshops. Our professional artists are expert mentors who break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on building confidence and having fun, so whether you can barely draw a stick figure or you're already sketching in a notebook, you'll leave with a piece of art you are proud of!

Is the workshop safe for children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and full-body suits, to keep clothes clean. We use professional spray paint in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor areas. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the equipment responsibly while having a blast. It is a controlled, professional environment throughout the whole session.

What should the participants wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable old clothes and sturdy shoes, just in case a stray drop of paint finds its way past the protective gear. While we provide high-quality coveralls, it's always better to be safe than sorry when working with professional-grade spray paint! We provide everything else, from the cans and caps to the masks and canvases, so you just need to bring your energy.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard after-school graffiti sessions usually run between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of theory, practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. This timeframe keeps the energy levels high and ensures the students stay engaged from the first nozzle-test to the final photo op. We can also adapt the duration to fit specific school schedules or transport requirements if needed.

Can you hold the workshop at our school?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop at various approved outdoor locations in Helsingborg, or we can come directly to your school or after-school facility if there is a suitable outdoor space. Having the workshop on-site is often the most convenient option for parents and teachers. If you aren't sure if your space is suitable, just let us know and we can do a quick check!

How does the payment work?

We believe in complete transparency and peace of mind. You don't need to make any upfront payments to book your session. You simply pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands. We also have backup artists ready to go, so you never have to worry about last-minute cancellations. Fun and reliability are guaranteed!

What happens if it rains in Helsingborg?

Helsingborg's weather can be a bit unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! If the forecast looks truly terrible, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor area or reschedule for a better day. Because we don't require upfront payments, rescheduling is a stress-free process. We always monitor the weather closely and stay in touch with you to ensure the best possible experience for the group.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your after-school programme in Helsingborg? Because it's more than just painting—it's about finding a voice! Here’s why it’s a total game-changer:

Zero Pressure, Max Fun: There are no "mistakes" in graffiti, only "happy accidents" and New Layers! 🌈
Confidence Booster: Seeing a giant, colourful piece of art you created yourself is an incredible feeling for any kid. 💪
Team Spirit: Our collaborative murals encourage students to talk, plan, and create together in a way they don't in a classroom. 🤝
Pro Mentors: Learn from real artists who live and breathe this stuff—no boring lectures here! 🎤
Total Flexibility: We bring the party to you anywhere in Helsingborg, from school playgrounds to local parks. 🏢
Peace of Mind: With no upfront payment and guaranteed backup artists, your event is in safe hands. 🛡️

Step by step

The Arrival & Intro: We meet the crew at the location and get everyone hyped up with a quick intro to street art history and culture! 🎤
Gear Up: Safety first! Everyone gets fitted with protective suits, gloves, and masks to keep the paint on the canvas and off the clothes. 🛡️
Mastering the Can: Our pros demonstrate basic spray techniques, like how to control pressure, create thin lines, and fill in large areas. 🎨
Sketching the Vision: Before the paint flies, students sketch their ideas on paper or directly onto the practice boards to plan their masterpiece. ✨
The First Layer: Time to start! Students apply their background colours and basic shapes under the watchful eye of our mentors. 🔥
Adding Character: This is where the magic happens! We teach how to add shadows, highlights, and those "pop" details that make graffiti stand out. 🏆
The Final Outline: The most satisfying part – putting the sharp outlines around the work to make it look professional and clean. 💪
Photo Op & Clean Up: We wrap up by taking epic group photos with the finished artwork before safely packing up all materials. 📸

Local culture

Helsingborg is a city that perfectly blends historic charm with a forward-thinking, creative spirit. From the street art tucked away in the Söder district to the vibrant cultural scene at Dunkers Kulturhus, there is inspiration around every corner here. Our workshops tap into this local energy, giving students a chance to add their own creative voice to the city's narrative. 🌊

Fun Fact: Did you know Helsingborg is just a 20-minute ferry ride from Denmark? This unique "gateway" location has made it a melting pot of Scandinavian styles, including some legendary graffiti spots that have inspired artists for decades! 🚢

Whether we are working near the waterfront or in a quiet schoolyard, the salty breeze and the view of the Öresund provide the perfect backdrop for a day of spray-painting. We love bringing the urban art vibe to this coastal gem! 🎨

Pricing

We believe that high-quality creative experiences should be accessible. Our pricing is flexible based on how many "mini-artists" are joining the crew and where the workshop is located.

Price scale: From 300 kr to 650 kr per person.

Because every school and youth group has different needs (and different budgets!), we don't have a "one size fits all" price. We want to give you the best value possible for your specific event.
