Do I need previous graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely! Our training sessions in Biskra are designed to be inclusive. We start with the absolute basics of spray can control, nozzle types, and safety protocols before moving into complex mural techniques. Even if you've never touched a spray can before, our professional artists will guide you through the process until you feel confident enough to demonstrate these skills to your own students. It’s all about building your creative muscle memory.

What materials are included in the professional development workshop?

We provide a comprehensive kit for every participant. This includes high-quality, low-pressure spray cans (easier for beginners to control), a variety of specialized nozzles (caps), protective gloves, respiratory masks, and coveralls. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that’s a professional mobile wall or a designated practice area. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on!

How long does the training session last?

Standard professional development sessions for teachers usually last between 2.5 to 4 hours. This duration allows for a solid mix of theoretical background, safety demonstrations, and plenty of hands-on practice. We can also arrange full-day 'deep-dive' intensives if your school or department wants to master large-scale mural production. We are flexible and can work around your school’s timetable or inset day requirements.

How can I integrate these skills into my existing art curriculum?

We believe in the power of street art to engage students who might struggle with traditional fine arts. Our training includes a specific module on 'Graffiti in the Classroom,' covering how to link spray art to art history, typography, and social justice. We provide you with a framework for lesson plans that are safe, legal, and educational, ensuring you can bring this 'cool factor' back to your school's curriculum.

Is it safe to use spray paint in a school environment?

Safety is our absolute priority, especially in an educational context. We use low-odour paints whenever possible and mandate the use of high-quality respiratory protection. During the training, we teach you how to set up a safe outdoor 'graffiti zone' at your school, how to manage students with spray cans, and how to ensure proper ventilation and waste disposal. You'll leave the session with a full safety checklist.

What is your payment policy for educational institutions?

We understand that school budgets and planning can be complex. That’s why we offer a 'no upfront payment' policy. You can book your training session to secure the date, and the payment is only settled after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the professional development your team received before any funds are transferred. It’s our guarantee of quality and trust.

Can you host the training at our specific school or facility?

Yes! If you have a larger department or a group of educators from across Biskra, we can come directly to your location. This is often the best way to train, as we can assess your specific school walls or outdoor spaces and give tailored advice on where your students can practice legally. If you don't have a suitable space, we can arrange a professional studio or outdoor venue for the group.

Local culture

Biskra, often celebrated as the "Queen of the Ziban," is a city defined by its brilliant light and the stunning contrast of its lush palm groves against the gateway to the Saharan desert. This unique local atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for exploring colour and shadow in street art. While Biskra is famous for its history and dates, there is a growing contemporary pulse among its youth who are eager for new forms of expression. 🌟

In our Biskra workshops, we often draw inspiration from the geometric patterns found in local crafts and the warm, earthy tones of the Algierian landscape. We encourage teachers to think about how local Biskra identity can be fused with global street art styles to create something truly unique. Fun Fact: Did you know Biskra was a favourite retreat for artists and writers like Henri Matisse? The city has always been a muse for those seeking vibrant colour—now it’s your turn to continue that legacy with a spray can! 🎨
