Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most of our university students have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics, teaching you how to control the nozzle, manage pressure, and create clean lines. By the time you start on the main mural, you'll feel like a pro. We focus on technique and fun, ensuring everyone walks away with a new skill they can be proud of. Trust the process!

Is the spray paint safe to use for large groups?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. The workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially set up indoor spaces. Our instructors are also trained to manage large groups, ensuring that the 'Biskra heat' doesn't stop us from having a safe and productive creative session.

How long does a typical university workshop last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a crash course in technique, individual practice, and the completion of a large-scale collaborative mural. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window during a campus event, we can certainly adapt the timing to fit your needs without losing the creative spark.

What materials do we need to provide?

Everything is included! We bring the spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps for different line widths, protective gear (overalls, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' (whether that's a temporary wall, boards, or even a pre-approved campus wall). You just need to show up in comfortable shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the art.

How many students can join the workshop at once?

We can accommodate almost any group size. From small faculty clubs of 10 people to large-scale student union events with 100+ participants, we scale our team accordingly. We have a roster of backup artists to ensure that even large bookings are well-supported. For very large groups, we often set up multiple 'stations' so everyone gets a fair turn and plenty of hands-on time with the cans.

What happens if the weather is bad or we need to reschedule?

We are incredibly flexible! If it rains (rare in Biskra, but it happens!) or if there are campus restrictions, we have solutions. We can work under gazebos, use low-odour water-based paints for indoor sessions, or reschedule if the weather is truly extreme. Our goal is to make sure your event happens no matter what. Plus, our backup artist system ensures the workshop goes ahead even if an instructor is unwell.

Can we create a permanent mural on campus?

While our primary workshops use temporary walls (meaning no permanent 'mess'), we can absolutely arrange for a permanent mural if you have administration permission. It’s a fantastic way to leave a lasting legacy on campus. We can even help draft a design that incorporates university values or Biskra’s local culture. If you prefer something mobile, we can use large canvases that you can hang in the student union later!

Local culture

Biskra is a city of incredible contrasts, where the lush greenery of the palmeries meets the gateway to the Sahara. This unique backdrop provides the perfect inspiration for any artist. We love incorporating the 'local vibe' into our sessions—think about blending traditional Algerian patterns with modern, edgy street art styles. 🌴

Fun Fact: Biskra is world-famous for its 'Deglet Nour' dates, known as the 'queen of dates'. Why not try to incorporate some sunset Sahara shades or date-palm motifs into your graffiti design? It's a great way to celebrate the heritage of the Biskra Province while pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. Whether we're setting up near the Roman ruins or right in the heart of the modern university district, the energy of this city always fuels the creativity of our student groups!
