Do I need any prior graffiti experience to join?

Absolutely none! Our art teacher training in Jönköping is designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident spray-can educator. We start with the basics of 'can control' and lettering before moving into more advanced mural techniques. Our professional artists will guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and capable of teaching these skills to your own students back in the classroom. It's all about the process!

Is graffiti art safe for a school environment?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves, masks, and overalls. We also teach you how to set up a safe workspace in a school environment, including proper ventilation and floor protection. During the workshop in Jönköping, we'll demonstrate how to handle pressurized cans safely and manage your students to ensure everyone has a blast without any risks. You'll leave feeling like a safety pro!

How long does the training session last?

Our Jönköping training sessions typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice different spray techniques, and complete a collaborative mural project. It’s a fast-paced but comprehensive session that fits perfectly into a professional development day. We can also customise the duration if you have specific timing requirements or a larger group of teachers.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We’ve got you covered! We provide professional-grade spray paint, various nozzles (caps), safety gear, and practice surfaces. We also provide educational handouts and a digital 'teacher's kit' you can use later. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on (just in case!) and brings plenty of energy. We handle all the prep and the messy cleanup afterwards.

Do you offer online training modules for teachers?

Currently, we focus on on-site, hands-on training across Småland and Sweden because the tactile nature of spray painting is hard to replicate through a screen. However, we do provide digital resources and a follow-up 'Teacher Pack' after the physical session. This includes lesson plans and technical guides to help you implement what you’ve learned. Nothing beats the feeling of a real spray can in your hand while learning!

When do I need to pay for the training?

We are very flexible! You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your Jönköping session. We believe in the quality of our training, so you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. This makes it much easier for school departments to handle the administration and ensures you can book with total peace of mind and zero financial risk.

Can you host the training directly at our school?

Yes! We love visiting schools across the Jönköping region. While we have locations we can use, we often bring the entire setup to your school grounds. As long as there is an outdoor wall or a well-ventilated space where we can set up temporary partitions, we can transform your playground into a street art studio. This allows more staff members to participate without the need for travel.

Curriculum Aligned: Our training helps you meet Swedish national curriculum goals for modern art and cultural expression.
Hands-on Experience: No boring PowerPoint presentations here—you'll be holding a can within the first 15 minutes! 🔥
Expert Mentors: Learn from working artists who have years of experience in both street art and education.
Stress-Free Booking: No deposit required and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We make it easy for you to say "yes."

Intro & history: We kick off with a quick look at how graffiti evolved from illegal tags to a respected global art movement.
Safety briefing: Learn the essentials of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and how to manage a classroom of students with spray cans.
Can control basics: Master the 'finger pressure' technique to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Lettering & styles: Dive into the anatomy of a 'piece,' learning how to construct letters that pop and flow.
Stencilling & layers: Explore different methods of street art, including multi-layered stencils that are perfect for younger students.
The mural project: Work together on a large-scale collaborative piece to practice blending and composition.
Educational integration: A dedicated session on how to link graffiti to the Swedish school curriculum and art history.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Jönköping is a city that perfectly blends its industrial heritage with a modern, creative pulse. From the matchstick history of Tändsticksområdet to the modern architecture of the university, there is inspiration around every corner. While the city is known for its scenic views over Lake Vättern, there is a growing appreciation for the "Urban Canvas." Local spots like the legal graffiti walls in nearby Huskvarna have helped foster a community of creators who see the city as more than just bricks and mortar.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Jönköping was once the "Matchstick Capital" of the world? Just like a match, street art starts with a single spark of creativity that can light up an entire community! 🕯️

By bringing our graffiti workshops to Jönköping schools, we are helping the next generation of Swedish artists find their voice in a way that respects the city's clean aesthetics while embracing modern expression. Whether we're inspired by the blue hues of the lake or the green forests of Småland, our training helps you bring local pride into your street art lessons.
