Do I need to be an artist or have previous graffiti experience?

No previous experience with spray paint is required! Our professional artists specialize in teaching absolute beginners. We start with the basics of can control and safety before moving into more complex mural techniques. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you pick up the skills needed to lead your own classroom sessions. We provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where making mistakes is just part of the creative process. So, don't worry—we've got you covered!

How long does the teacher training session last?

The training typically lasts between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the group size and the specific modules we cover. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to get hands-on experience without feeling burnt out. We can also adapt the timing if you have a specific schedule to stick to. Regardless of the duration, we ensure you leave with enough practical knowledge to start planning your first street art lesson.

Is all the equipment and safety gear provided?

Absolutely! Everything you need is included in the price. We provide high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks. We also provide the canvases or boards we will be practicing on. You literally just need to turn up in some clothes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on, and we will handle all the logistics and gear for you.

What safety measures do you teach for school environments?

Safety is our top priority, especially when you are training to lead students. We use low-pressure cans that are easier to control and provide high-quality respiratory protection. During the session, we walk you through standard safety protocols, ventilation requirements, and how to manage a group of students safely. You'll learn how to set up a safe 'painting zone' that protects both the participants and the school property.

What happens if it rains on the day of our training?

Karlovac has some fantastic outdoor spots, but if the Croatian weather doesn't play ball, we have indoor backup options or can reschedule. Many of our training sessions take place at locations with undercover areas so the creative flow never has to stop. We always keep a close eye on the forecast and will communicate with you well in advance if we need to pivot to a different location or time.

What kind of specific techniques will I learn to teach?

We focus on 'low-threshold' techniques that get kids excited immediately. This includes stencil making, character design, and 'tagging' styles that emphasize typography and flow. We also teach you how to link graffiti to the standard art curriculum, covering themes like colour theory and social history. You’ll leave with a toolkit of varied activities that can be scaled for different age groups, from primary school to senior students.

How much does the professional development session cost?

In Karlovac, our prices generally range from €20 to €45 per person. This variation depends on the size of your staff group and the depth of the training modules you choose. We believe in transparent pricing and providing value for money, which is why all materials are included. For a precise figure tailored to your school's needs, we always recommend requesting a custom quote so we can give you the best possible rate.

Local culture

Karlovac, the "City on Four Rivers," is famous for its unique star-shaped fortress and lush greenery, but it also has a burgeoning appreciation for modern urban expression. The city’s transit routes between Zagreb and the coast make it a natural crossroads for cultural exchange, including the vibrant street art scene. Painting here feels different; the mix of historic Austrian-style architecture and the industrial heritage of the city provides a stunning backdrop for modern murals. 🌳

Fun Fact: Did you know Karlovac was founded in 1579 as a six-pointed star fortress? While the city is steeped in history, the local youth scene is incredibly active, and bringing graffiti training here helps bridge the gap between Karlovac’s heritage and its contemporary future. We love helping local teachers tap into this local energy!

Pricing

Our training sessions are competitively priced to suit school budgets:

Price per person: €20 - €45 (depending on group size)

Whether you’re a solo teacher or a full department, we can build a package for you. 🔥
