Do students need prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our Koforidua university workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists start with the basics—how to hold the can, pressure control, and nozzle types—before moving on to letter structures. We provide a safe, supportive environment where anyone, regardless of their artistic background, can create something they are truly proud of by the end of the session.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything needed for a successful creative session in Koforidua. This includes high-quality spray cans in a huge range of colours, various caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gloves, and masks. We usually work on large canvases or mobile wooden walls, ensuring the university grounds remain clean while the students get to experiment freely with their designs.

How do you handle safety and ventilation?

Safety is our top priority. All participants are provided with protective gear, including gloves and masks. We conduct a safety briefing before any cans are sprayed, teaching students how to use the equipment responsibly. We also ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated outdoor area on campus to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all participants.

How long does a typical university session last?

Standard university workshops usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale collaborative mural. We can also adapt the timing to fit into a specific lecture gap or as part of a full-day campus festival.

Is there an upfront payment required?

There is no payment required at the time of booking. We believe in our service and want you to feel confident in your choice. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This makes the administrative process much easier for university societies and student unions in Koforidua, as it removes the financial risk during the planning phase.

What happens if an artist is unavailable?

Yes, we have a reliable network of professional artists. We always have backup artists on standby to ensure that your event goes ahead even if an emergency arises. We understand how important campus events are and how much planning goes into them, so we guarantee that we won't let your students down at the last minute.

Can students take their own artwork home?

Definitely! While we love collaborative murals, we can also set up the workshop so that every student gets to work on their own individual canvas or piece of wood. This is a popular option for smaller groups or art-focused societies where students want to take their unique masterpiece home to decorate their dorm room or apartment.

The experience

University life isn't just about exams—it's about experiences. A graffiti workshop offers a refreshing break from the books and a chance to build real community on campus. Here is why Koforidua students love our sessions:

Instant Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the hiss of a spray can and the flow of vibrant colours. 🌈
Boost Campus Spirit: Working together on a massive mural creates a lasting sense of pride and shared achievement.
Skill Building: Beyond the fun, students learn about composition, colour theory, and the history of a global art movement.
Zero Financial Risk: We don't ask for upfront payments—you only pay once the workshop is completed and everyone is happy. 🏆
Professional Guidance: No 'amateur hour' here; our artists are top-tier and know exactly how to engage a student crowd.
Instagrammable Moments: The finished murals serve as the perfect backdrop for photos, putting your campus in the spotlight.

Step by step

Introduction & History: We kick things off with a brief look at the roots of graffiti culture and how it evolved into the global street art movement we see today.
Safety Briefing: Our pros explain how to use the spray cans safely, including proper mask fitting and glove use.
Mastering the Can: Students learn 'can control'—how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients by adjusting distance and pressure.
Sketching the Concept: Using markers or chalk, the group outlines their design on the canvas, focusing on letter structure and composition.
Filling & Fading: This is where the colour comes in! Participants learn how to fill large areas efficiently and blend colours for that classic 'graffiti' look.
Outlining & Detailing: The most satisfying part—adding the sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make the artwork pop and look professional.
The Collective Mural: For larger groups, everyone works together to bring a massive, unified piece of art to life.
The Big Reveal & Photos: Once the 'tags' are added, we take group photos with the finished masterpiece for the uni's social media.

Good to know

Duration: Usually 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customise this to fit your campus schedule.
