Do we need any previous art experience to take part?

Absolutely not! Our university workshops in Kohtla-Järve are designed for everyone, from complete beginners who have never touched a spray can to those who might have a bit of a creative streak. Our professional artists will guide you through every single step, from basic lines to advanced shading techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at what you and your friends have managed to create together on the canvas.

What should we wear to the workshop?

We want you to focus on the art, not on cleaning! We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional masks for every participant. However, we always recommend wearing old trainers and comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on, just in case. Graffiti can be a bit messy when you're getting stuck in, but we make sure you stay as clean as possible while you're creating your masterpiece.

Where in Kohtla-Järve do the workshops take place?

We are super flexible! We can host the university workshop at a location of your choice in Kohtla-Järve, whether that's an outdoor campus area or a suitable indoor space. If you don't have a spot in mind, we can help arrange a professional workshop location. We bring everything to you: the paint, the boards, the gear, and the talent. It's hassle-free street art brought directly to your student community.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our absolute priority. We use high-quality spray paints and provide professional-grade respiratory masks and gloves for everyone. Our artists are experienced professionals who provide a full safety briefing before any cans are shaken. We ensure the environment is well-ventilated and that everyone follows the 'spray-safe' rules. It’s all the thrill of street art with none of the risks, making it a perfect activity for university groups.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a fun intro, some practice runs on the 'training wall', and then the main event where you create your final piece. If you have a specific schedule or a larger student event, we can easily adapt the timing to fit your needs. We're all about making sure you get the full experience without feeling rushed.

What happens if the weather is bad?

While we love the vibe of Kohtla-Järve's industrial backdrop, we have great indoor solutions for when the Estonian weather gets a bit moody. We can set up professional indoor spray zones with proper protection, or we can pivot to a different creative format if needed. Whether it's sunshine or snow, your university event will go ahead as planned. We even have backup artists ready to go so your session is never cancelled.

When do we need to pay for the workshop?

We believe in total transparency and trust. You don't have to pay a single Euro upfront! You can book your university workshop today to secure your date, and the payment is only handled after the workshop has been successfully completed and you're 100% happy with the experience. It makes the whole process stress-free for student unions and event organisers. Just get in touch, and we’ll handle the rest!

Local culture

Kohtla-Järve, with its deep industrial roots and unique urban landscape, provides the perfect gritty-yet-inspiring backdrop for a street art revolution. The city’s history of hard work and resilience translates perfectly into the bold, expressive nature of graffiti. 🎨 We love bringing this modern art form to the heart of Ida-Virumaa, adding a splash of contemporary colour to the city's unique character. Whether you are studying at the local university colleges or visiting from nearby Tallinn or Narva, the atmosphere here is unmatched for creative exploration.

Fun Fact: Kohtla-Järve is known as the "oil shale capital," and we think there is something incredibly cool about blending that industrial heritage with the fluid, neon colours of modern graffiti culture! 🏗️
