Do the participants need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to join our youth projects in Linköping. Our professional artists are experts at breaking down complex mural techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on 'learning by doing,' ensuring every participant feels confident holding a spray can. By the end of the session, even those who thought they couldn't draw a stick figure will be amazed at the vibrant street art they've helped create.

Is the spray paint safe for young people to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality, professional-grade masks and protective gloves to all participants. Our workshops in Linköping are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors carry out a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring everyone understands how to use the equipment responsibly. We use low-odour, high-quality paints to ensure a comfortable and safe creative environment for all youth groups.

How long does a typical youth project session last?

Typically, our youth graffiti workshops in Linköping last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a solid introduction, sketching, practice runs, and the final creation of a large-scale mural. If you have a specific schedule or are integrating this into a larger youth summit or school holiday programme, we can easily adjust the timing to fit your itinerary perfectly.

Where in Linköping do these workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at various authorised locations throughout Linköping, or if you have a suitable space (like a community centre courtyard or a school parking lot with proper permissions), we can bring the mobile workshop to you. We provide all the necessary floor protection and set up professional boards if there isn't a permanent wall available for us to use.

Do we need to pay in advance for the workshop?

We believe in the power of the project, so we don't ask for any money upfront. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This 'pay later' policy ensures that youth organisations and community leaders can book with total peace of mind, knowing that the quality of the event is guaranteed by our professional team.

What is the maximum group size for a youth project?

While we recommend a minimum group size to keep the energy high, we can accommodate anything from small focus groups of 10 to large-scale community events with over 100 participants. For larger groups, we simply bring in more of our professional backup artists to ensure every young person gets the individual attention and guidance they need to succeed and have a great time.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a few tiny specks of paint on. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti is a hands-on, active art form, and accidents can happen! It's all part of the authentic street art experience. Dressing comfortably ensures you can move freely while reaching for those high corners of your masterpiece.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti project for your next youth initiative in Linköping? It’s more than just paint on a wall; it’s about giving the next generation the tools to express themselves in a language they actually understand. 🎨

Instant engagement: Graffiti is naturally 'cool'—it grabs attention faster than any traditional art class ever could! 🚀
Confidence booster: Watching a massive mural come to life gives young people a huge sense of pride and accomplishment. 💪
Teamwork in action: You can't paint a giant wall alone; our workshops require communication and collaboration to get the job done. 🤝
Safe & legal: We provide a controlled, professional environment where street art is celebrated as a positive skill. 🛡️
Professional mentors: Our artists aren't just great painters; they are mentors who inspire creativity and respect for the medium. 🎤
A lasting impact: Whether it's a permanent mural or a personal canvas, the memories (and the art) stay with them forever. 🏆

Step by step

Introduction & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro to the history of street art and a look at famous murals to get the creative juices flowing.
Safety briefing: Every participant learns the 'golden rules' of spray painting and gets fitted with professional protective gear.
The 'Tag' masterclass: Participants learn the basics of typography by creating their own unique 'tag' or artist signature on paper.
Can control 101: We move to the wall! Our artists demonstrate different nozzles (caps) and how to control pressure and distance.
Collaborative sketching: The youth group works together to sketch a large-scale design that represents their collective message or theme.
Filling & fading: The fun part! Everyone grabs a can to fill in the colours, learning how to blend and fade like a pro.
Outlining & detailing: We teach the 'pro' tricks of adding sharp outlines and highlights to make the artwork pop off the wall.
Final reveal: The group steps back to admire their massive, completed mural—a perfect moment for group photos and celebration.
Clean up & reflection: We wrap up by discussing what we've learned about teamwork and creative expression before heading home.

Local culture

Linköping is a city where tradition meets innovation, from the historic cathedral towers to the cutting-edge tech at Mjärdevi. But lately, the city's skin is getting a bit more colourful! We love the vibe here, especially how the city embraces both its student energy and its local history. When we run our workshops, we often draw inspiration from the city's connection to flight and technology, blending those themes with classic street art style. Linköping has a growing appreciation for urban culture, and we’re proud to be part of the movement that gives young locals a voice on the city's canvas.

Fun Fact: Did you know Linköping is known as the aviation capital of Sweden? We often see young artists incorporating wings and aerodynamic shapes into their graffiti designs here—talk about taking your art to new heights! ✈️
