How it works

  1. Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro to graffiti culture and a vital safety briefing on how to use the gear 🛡️.
  2. Concept Sketching: Students grab paper and pencils to brainstorm their 'tag' or a collective mural design.
  3. Can Control: Our pros teach the 'nozzle' basics—learning how to make thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
  4. Outline Phase: Watch the magic happen as the kids transfer their sketches onto the large-scale wall or canvas ✍️.
  5. Fill-in & Colour: The fun part! Students choose their palette and start filling in their designs with vibrant professional paint.
  6. Shadows & 3D: We teach the tricks of the trade, like adding shadows to make letters pop off the surface 🪄.
  7. The Highlights: Adding those final white glints and sharp outlines that make the artwork look truly professional.
  8. The Gallery Walk: We finish by admiring the group's work, taking awesome photos, and discussing the techniques used 📸.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spray paint safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our top priority! We supply high-quality FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and protective overalls to keep school uniforms clean. Our professional artists supervise the group at all times, ensuring every student uses the spray cans correctly. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor spaces or specially designated areas in Santo Domingo to ensure a safe, breathable environment for everyone involved.

Do the students need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our after-school workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist mentors start with the basics—how to hold the can, control pressure, and create simple lines. We guide the students through every step, from sketching their ideas on paper to finalising their masterpiece on the wall. By the end of the session, even those who thought they weren't artistic will be amazed at what they've created.

How long does a typical after-school session last?

Standard sessions usually run between 1.5 to 2 hours, which fits perfectly into most after-school schedules. However, we are flexible! If you’re looking for a more intensive project or a series of workshops over several weeks, we can customise the duration to suit your school's specific needs. Just let us know your timetable, and we will make it work seamlessly for your students.

What materials do we need to provide?

Everything is included! Graffitifun provides all the professional spray paint cans in a huge variety of vibrant colours, protective gear (gloves, masks, suits), and the 'canvas' (whether that’s a mobile wall, boards, or an authorised school wall). We even bring the inspiration! The only thing the students need to bring is their enthusiasm and some old shoes they don't mind getting a little dusty.

Can the workshop take place on our school grounds?

We can definitely come to you! If your school in Santo Domingo has a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated area, we can set up our mobile graffiti walls right on your campus. This makes logistics much easier for parents and teachers. If you don't have a suitable space, don't worry—we have access to several legal street art spots around the city where we can host the session.

Does this encourage illegal graffiti or 'tagging'?

Absolutely. Our workshops focus on 'Street Art' as a positive, legal, and creative form of expression. We teach the history of the movement and the importance of respecting public property by only painting in designated legal areas. It’s a great way to channel energy into something productive and community-focused, turning potential vandalism into a respected skill and a beautiful piece of art.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is easy! Use our online cost calculator for an immediate estimate, or send us a request via the contact form. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% happy with the result. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we can almost always guarantee your date won't be cancelled. Let's get your students spraying!
