Do I need to be a talented artist to join the 3D workshop?

Absolutely not! Our 3D street art workshop in Dudelange is designed for everyone, from total novices to seasoned doodlers. Our professional artists will guide you through the 'anamorphic' process step-by-step. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can learn to create depth and perspective using our specialized techniques and high-quality spray cans. It’s all about having fun and trying something new!

What should I wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little 'colourful.' While we provide high-quality protective overalls and gloves, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or trainers. Think 'artist chic'—comfortable gear that allows you to move freely while you’re busy creating your three-dimensional masterpiece on the Dudelange streets.

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

Safety is our top priority. We provide professional-grade FFP3 masks to ensure you aren't breathing in any paint fumes, along with protective gloves and suits. Our artists give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We use high-quality paints and ensure our workshop area in Dudelange is well-ventilated and secure for all participants.

How long does the 3D street art experience last?

Our standard 3D street art sessions typically last between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the theory of perspective, practice some basic spray techniques, and then dive into the main event: creating your large-scale 3D artwork. If you have a specific timeframe in mind for a corporate event or party, we can often adjust the duration to suit your schedule.

What happens if it rains on the day?

We love a good outdoor session, but we always have a plan B! If the Luxembourgish weather decides not to cooperate, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space using specialized low-odour paints or alternative canvases. We also have a large pool of backup artists to ensure your event in Dudelange goes ahead regardless of minor hitches.

Can we take our artwork home with us?

Yes, you certainly can! While the 3D effect is often best appreciated on a large floor or wall space, we can also work on giant canvases or boards that you can take back to your office or school. Alternatively, the best 'souvenir' is the incredible photos you'll take of your group 'interacting' with the 3D illusions you've just created!

How do I book and when do I pay?

Booking is super easy and flexible with Graffitifun. You don't need to pay anything upfront! Simply reach out to us with your preferred date and group size, and we'll send over a custom quote. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. It’s a stress-free way to organise your next big Dudelange event.

Step by step

The warm-up: Your professional instructor introduces the world of 3D street art and the secret "anamorphic" techniques used by the pros.
Design session: We brainstorm a concept that will look incredible when viewed from a specific angle—think cracks in the pavement or floating objects!
Mastering the can: We head to the practice wall to learn pressure control, nozzle types, and how to create clean lines and soft fades.
The sketch: Under the artist's guidance, you'll lay down the distorted skeleton of your 3D image on the ground or wall.
Layering shades: This is where the magic happens! We apply shadows and highlights to create the illusion of depth and height.
The final pop: Add the finishing details and sharp outlines to make the artwork look like it’s literally jumping out at you.
The photo op: Stand at the 'sweet spot' and take photos of your team interacting with the 3D illusion—the perfect Instagram moment!

Local culture

Dudelange, or 'Diddeleng' as the locals call it, has a rich industrial soul that provides the perfect backdrop for urban creativity. Once the heart of Luxembourg’s steel industry, the city has transformed into a vibrant cultural hub. From the historic Neischmelz district to the lush greenery of Parc Le'h, there is an energy here that begs for artistic expression. 🌳

The local street art scene is growing, influenced by the city's gritty past and its colourful, multicultural present. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging you to create art that reflects the unique character of Dudelange.

Fun Fact: Dudelange is home to the CNA (Centre National de l'Audiovisuel), making it the official creative capital of Luxembourg for film and photography—the perfect place to capture your 3D illusions! 📸
