Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most of our university participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics, from how to hold the can to mastering pressure control. We provide a safe, supportive environment where 'mistakes' are just part of the creative process. You'll be amazed at the high-quality mural you can produce in just a few hours with our guidance.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide all the essentials: high-quality spray paint in a huge range of colours, professional respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. We also bring the canvases or mobile boards. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, some old shoes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on, and your best creative ideas for the group project!

Can we create one big mural or individual pieces?

As a university group, you can choose between a collaborative mural where everyone contributes to one massive piece of art (perfect for student unions or common rooms) or individual canvases that students can take home. We often find that the collaborative approach is best for 'Forge du Sud' spirit, encouraging teamwork and shared pride in a large-scale project.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide professional-grade FFP3 masks and nitrile gloves to all participants. Our workshops usually take place outdoors or in very well-ventilated spaces. Our instructors are experienced pros who manage the 'spray zone' to ensure everyone stays safe while having a blast. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event always goes ahead.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, technique practice, sketching, and the final 1.5-hour 'main event' where the masterpiece comes to life. If you have a specific schedule for a Fresher's Week or a campus festival, we can adapt the timing to fit your needs perfectly.

Where in Dudelange can the workshop take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at a designated spot on your Dudelange campus (with permission), or we can arrange a nearby urban location. If the weather looks typical for Luxembourg, we can use mobile foil walls in a ventilated indoor space or under a large canopy. We always have a 'Plan B' to make sure the creativity doesn't stop.

How much does a workshop for a student society cost?

Our pricing is transparent and flexible, generally ranging from €35 to €70 per person. The final cost depends on the number of students, the duration of the workshop, and the amount of paint required. Because we know student budgets can be tight, we offer various packages. You don't even have to pay upfront—you can settle the bill after the workshop is finished.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Dudelange isn't just Luxembourg’s fourth-largest city; it’s a cultural hub where industrial heritage meets modern creativity. From the iconic water tower at the Centre national de l'audiovisuel (CNA) to the lush trails of 'Hardt', the city breathes a unique mix of grit and beauty. This makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop. By bringing street art to the local student community, we're tapping into the same spirit of innovation found at the local innovation hubs and the nearby University of Luxembourg facilities.

Fun Fact: Did you know Dudelange is often called 'Forge du Sud' (Forge of the South)? Just as the city forged steel in the past, we're here to help you forge new friendships and creative skills through the power of spray paint! 🔨✨
