How long does a typical after school graffiti workshop last?

Our standard after school sessions in Yekaterinburg usually run for about 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance: enough time to learn the basic spray painting techniques and complete a full masterpiece, without the kids losing focus. We can adjust the timing slightly to fit your school's specific extracurricular schedule if needed, making it easy to integrate into your existing afternoon programme.

Is it safe for children to use spray paint?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits to keep those school uniforms clean. Our professional artists are expert instructors who supervise every spray. We also use low-odour, high-quality paints that are safer for younger artists to use, ensuring a fun environment that meets all safety standards for children.

Do the kids need any prior drawing or painting skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the very basics of how to hold a can and move up to more complex techniques. Every student will leave with a piece of art they are proud of, regardless of their previous artistic experience. It’s all about building confidence and having a great time with friends after a long day of classes.

Where do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop directly at your school’s premises—outdoors against a wall or on mobile boards—or we can arrange for the group to visit one of our professional street art locations in Yekaterinburg. If we work at the school, we take full responsibility for protecting the surrounding area from any stray paint using high-grade tarps and covers.

What is the minimum age for participants?

We recommend a minimum age of 8 years old for our graffiti workshops. This is mainly because the spray cans require a certain amount of finger strength and coordination to operate effectively. However, we have special techniques and smaller cans for younger groups to ensure everyone can join in the fun. For secondary school students, we crank up the complexity to keep them fully engaged!

Do we need to pay in advance for the workshop?

We’ve made the booking process stress-free for schools and parents. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you reserve a date. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy. This low-risk approach makes us a favourite choice for educational institutions looking for reliable, high-quality extracurricular activities.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

If the Yekaterinburg weather decides not to cooperate, don't worry! We always have a backup plan. We can move the session indoors using large canvases and extra ventilation, or we can reschedule for a clearer day. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we almost never have to cancel a session entirely, ensuring your after school plans stay on track.

The experience

Why settle for ordinary when you can offer something extraordinary? Bringing graffiti into the after school mix is about more than just paint—it's about building character and community. 🏙️

Instant Confidence Boost: Seeing a giant piece of art come to life helps kids realise they can achieve huge things with the right tools.
Zero-Pressure Environment: There are no "mistakes" in graffiti—only "style"! This helps anxious students relax and enjoy the process. 🔥
Teamwork in Action: Our group murals require students to communicate, plan, and work together to create a cohesive masterpiece.
Professional Mentorship: Kids get to learn directly from real-deal artists who live and breathe the street art culture of Russia. 🇷🇺
Stress-Free Logistics: From curriculum alignment to full cleanup, we handle every detail so you don't have to.
Flexible & Inclusive: Graffiti is a universal language that appeals to students of all backgrounds and abilities. 🌈

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro about street art culture followed by a full safety briefing. Every student gets kitted out in protective gear.
Sketching the Vision: Before touching a can, kids brainstorm their ideas and sketch their designs on paper, learning about letter structure and flow.
Can Control 101: Our pro artists demonstrate how to hold the can, control pressure, and create different line thicknesses—the foundation of all great graffiti.
The Big Outline: Students move to the wall or canvas to scale up their sketches, learning how to use their whole body to create smooth, sweeping lines.
Filling with Colour: The fun part! We teach kids how to blend colours, create gradients, and fill in their shapes without drips.
Adding the 'Pop': We show the group how to add highlights, 3D effects, and "force fields" to make their artwork jump off the surface.
Sharpening the Details: The final step involves using a black or white "outline" to sharpen the edges and give the piece that professional street art look.
The Grand Reveal: We finish with a group photo session where every student can show off their work and celebrate their new creative skills!

Local culture

Yekaterinburg isn't just the gateway to the Urals; it's a living canvas for some of Russia's most innovative street art. From the legendary 'Stenograffia' festival that transforms the city every year to the hidden gems found along the Iset River, this city breathes urban creativity. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, teaching students about Yekaterinburg's unique place in the global street art scene. We often draw inspiration from the bold geometric patterns and industrial history that define our city’s aesthetic.

🎨 Fun Fact: Did you know Yekaterinburg is home to the famous 'Keyboard Monument'? While not traditional graffiti, it reflects the city's love for quirky, large-scale public art that inspires our local street art community!
