How long does a typical school workshop last?

Most workshops for secondary schools in Yekaterinburg run between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This gives students enough time to learn the basic spray techniques, practice their lettering on cardboard, and then collaborate on a final masterpiece. We can adjust the timing to fit into your school’s double-period schedule or make it a half-day special event if you want a more in-depth artistic experience.

Do we come to you or do you come to us?

Whatever works best for your school! We can bring the entire 'street' experience to your playground or sports field using our mobile boards. If you’d prefer to get away from the classroom, we can host the group at one of Yekaterinburg’s vibrant legal graffiti zones. We provide all the protective gear and floor coverings to ensure the site stays tidy while the creativity flows.

Is it safe for students to use spray paint?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our professional artists are fully trained in health and safety protocols and supervise the use of every spray can. We use specialized low-pressure paint that is easier to control and safer for beginners to handle during their creative session.

Does this encourage students to spray on school walls?

Absolutely not! Before anyone touches a spray can, we have a chat about the difference between street art and illegal vandalism. We teach students about the history of the culture and the importance of respecting public property. Our workshops are about self-expression and building community, showing them how to use their skills in a positive, legal, and professional way.

What is the maximum group size for a school booking?

We usually recommend group sizes of 15 to 30 students per artist to keep things interactive and safe. However, we have a large team of backup artists in Russia, so we can easily cater to entire year groups of 100+ students by running simultaneous sessions. If you have a specific number in mind, just let us know and we will scale the team accordingly.

Do students need to be 'good at art' to participate?

No artistic talent is required at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from the next Picasso to the kid who can barely draw a stick figure. Our artists guide students through simple lettering and 'fills' that produce impressive results quickly. It’s a great confidence booster for students who might struggle in traditional academic subjects but find they have a real flair for urban art.

What should the students wear on the day?

We suggest students wear old clothes and sneakers they don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. While we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto shoes or sleeves! We provide everything else: the paint, the caps, the masks, and the surfaces. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and some creative energy!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Yekaterinburg secondary school? It’s more than just a bit of paint; it’s a massive boost for student engagement and school spirit! Here’s why it works:

Unleash Creativity: It gives "non-traditional" artists a chance to shine and express themselves in a way that feels cool and relevant. 🎉
Team Bonding: Collaborative murals require students to communicate, plan, and work together towards a huge visual goal. 🤝
Safe & Legal: We educate students on the difference between art and vandalism, promoting respect for their local community. 🛡️
Professional Guidance: Our artists are mentors who share real-world skills and stories from the global street art scene. 🎤
Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the 'hiss' of a spray can and the flow of the paint! 🧘‍♂️
Zero Risk: With our "pay after" policy and backup artist guarantee, your school event is in safe hands.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety Brief: We kick things off with a high-energy intro about street art culture and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment properly. ✨
Sketching the Concept: Students grab paper and pencils to map out their ideas, learning the basics of 'piece' structure and letter flow. ✍️
Can Control 101: Under the guidance of our pros, students learn how to hold the can, swap nozzles (caps), and control the pressure for different line widths. 🎨
Practice Makes Perfect: Everyone gets a practice board to master their first 'tags' and 'fills' before moving on to the main event.
The Big Mural: Working in teams, the students apply their new skills to a large-scale mural, usually based on a school theme or a positive message. 🏆
The Finishing Touches: Our artists help students add those professional 'highlights' and 'outlines' that make the artwork pop. 🔥
Photo Ops & Review: We wrap up with a group photo in front of the masterpiece and a quick chat about what everyone learned. 📸

Local culture

Yekaterinburg is secretly one of Russia's most exciting hubs for street art! Known for the famous Stenograffia festival, the city is packed with incredible murals that have turned grey industrial walls into an open-air gallery. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, showing students that their city is a canvas for positive change. 🇷🇺

Fun Fact: Did you know Yekaterinburg is home to a giant keyboard monument? It’s a local landmark that perfectly blends the city's tech-savvy nature with public art—exactly the kind of creative thinking we encourage in our workshops!

From the historic streets of the city centre to the suburban school grounds, we love bringing the Yekaterinburg art scene directly to the next generation of creators.
