- Design session: Grab a pen and paper! Participants sketch out their ideas and learn the basics of letter formation and "flow."

Local culture
Street art in Newcastle
Newcastle has always been a city of creators, from its industrial roots to the modern-day buzz of the Ouseburn Valley. The local street art culture here is thriving, with legal spots and stunning murals popping up from the Quayside to the city centre. However, we know that illegal tagging can still be a headache for local residents and businesses. Our program is designed specifically for the Geordie spirit—honest, hardworking, and full of character. We work with the grain of the city to encourage pride in our local architecture while celebrating its modern, urban identity.
Fun Fact: Did you know Newcastle's Ouseburn Valley is often called the "Shoreditch of the North"? It is a hub for street artists and features some of the most impressive legal murals in the UK! 🏆
