Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most people who join our company outings in Tauranga haven't touched a spray can since they were kids (or ever!). Our professional street artists are experts at breaking down the basics, from how to hold the nozzle to creating cool shading effects. We guide your team every step of the way, ensuring everyone walks away feeling like a local Tauranga art legend.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for all staff members?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective ponchos to keep your clothes clean. We generally use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spaces that meet all safety standards, ensuring a worry-free and fun environment for your entire Tauranga crew.

How long does a typical company outing last?

Standard workshops usually run between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives your team enough time to learn the techniques, practice their tags, and collaborate on a final masterpiece. We can also customise the duration to fit into your busy Tauranga team-building schedule, whether you want a quick energiser or a deep-dive creative afternoon.

Where in Tauranga does the workshop take place?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We can host you at one of our vibrant local street art spots in Tauranga, or if you have a suitable outdoor space at your office or a hired venue, we can bring the entire street art studio to you! We’ll handle the setup and the cleanup, leaving you to focus on the fun.

What materials are included in the package?

We’ve got you covered! We provide everything: premium spray paint in a rainbow of colours, caps, protective gear, and the canvases or boards you'll be painting on. All you need to bring is your team’s enthusiasm and perhaps some comfortable shoes. We even bring the inspiration to get those creative juices flowing!

Can we customise the artwork to match our company branding?

Definitely! Many Tauranga businesses choose to paint their company logo, core values, or a theme that represents their current goals. It’s a fantastic way to build brand pride while fostering teamwork. Our artists will help you prep a sketch so the final result looks professional enough to hang in your office lobby!

Step by step

Intro and demo: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, showing you the history of street art and demonstrating essential spraying techniques.
Safety first: Everyone gets geared up with protective suits, gloves, and masks. We’ll show you how to use the gear properly before we start.
First lines: You’ll grab a can and practice basic lines, dots, and fills on your own practice space to get a feel for the pressure.
Concept sketching: Your team will brainstorm a theme or logo. Our artists help you translate those big ideas into a workable graffiti sketch.
The big fill: This is where the colour comes in! You’ll start filling in the large areas of your design using the techniques we practiced.
Outlining and details: Add the "pop" to your work. Our pros will show you how to create sharp outlines and highlight your masterpiece.
Final touches: Add some "flares" or splatter effects to give your artwork that authentic Tauranga street art grit.

Local culture

Tauranga isn't just about beautiful beaches and Mount Maunganui views; it’s a city with a growing heartbeat of urban creativity. From the vibrant murals tucking into the alleyways of the city centre to the yearly street art festivals that bring international talent to the Bay of Plenty, Tauranga is the perfect backdrop for your team to find their inner artist. We draw inspiration from the local landscape—where the blue of the Pacific meets the edgy, industrial vibes of the port.

Fun Fact: Tauranga has hosted some of the Southern Hemisphere's most significant street art festivals, turning once-forgotten walls into a world-class outdoor gallery. Your team won't just be painting; you'll be joining a local tradition of expression and colour! 🌊
