Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to have a blast at our networking events. Our professional artists lead you through every step, from holding the can to mastering drop shadows. The focus is on connection and creativity, not perfection. You’ll be surprised at how quickly the Bay of Plenty's natural inspiration translates into awesome street art under our expert guidance. Everyone leaves with a masterpiece and new connections!

Is it safe? What about our clothes and breathing in paint?

We take health and safety very seriously. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your professional attire clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated spaces or outdoors to ensure a safe environment. Additionally, we use low-odour professional spray paints. Our artists are seasoned pros who supervise the entire process, ensuring a safe, fun, and worry-free experience for every professional in your group.

How long does the networking event usually last?

A standard creative networking session in Tauranga typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This includes the initial meet-and-greet, a safety briefing, the artist demonstration, the collaborative spray-painting session, and time for final photos and networking. We can adjust the duration to fit into your specific event schedule, whether you want a quick icebreaker or a full afternoon of creative brand building.

What do we actually get to paint on?

For most networking events, we create a massive collaborative mural on high-quality canvases or mobile wood panels. This allows your team or guests to work together on a unified vision. The best part? The finished artwork can be taken back to your office or broken down into individual pieces for guests to take home. It serves as a permanent, vibrant reminder of the connections made in the Bay!

Can you host the event at our specific office or venue?

We are highly flexible! We can host the event at one of our partner locations in Tauranga or come directly to your office or a chosen venue (provided there is adequate ventilation or outdoor space). Whether it’s a beachfront setting at Mount Maunganui or a warehouse in Greerton, we bring all the equipment, drop sheets, and materials to turn any space into a professional graffiti studio for the day.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Our networking events are designed for groups of all sizes. We successfully host intimate sessions for small startup teams of 10, as well as large-scale corporate activations for 100+ attendees. For larger groups, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone receives personal attention and the energy levels stay high. No matter the size, we ensure a seamless and engaging experience for everyone involved.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor event?

While we love the sunshine of the Bay of Plenty, we always have a Plan B. If your event is scheduled outdoors and the weather turns, we can move to an indoor venue with proper ventilation or use large marquees. Because we have local artists and backup teams ready to go, we ensure your event proceeds smoothly regardless of the Tauranga weather. Your networking goals won't be washed away!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti-themed networking event in the Bay? Because traditional networking is due for a makeover! Moving your body and using your hands unlocks a different part of the brain, making conversation flow much more freely. 🧠✨

Instant Icebreaker: Nothing builds a bond like trying something new and slightly "rebellious" together. 🔥
Boost Productivity: Collaborative art mirrors collaborative business—it's all about communication and shared goals. ✨
Stress Relief: The tactile nature of spray painting is incredibly satisfying and a great way to decompress. 🎤
Memorable Outcomes: You won't just walk away with business cards; you'll have a physical mural that represents your new connections. 🏆
Inclusive Fun: Whether you're an intern or a CEO, the spray can is a great equaliser—everyone starts on the same level! 💪
Professional Local Artists: You’re learning from the best in the NZ street art scene, ensuring your event is authentic and high-quality. 🎉

Step by step

The warm-up: Arrive at your Tauranga venue where our team greets you with a high-energy intro and an overview of the day’s creative mission.
Design workshop: Grab a sketchpad! We start by brainstorming themes and "tagging" designs that represent your group's unique identity or company values.
Safety first: Suit up in our provided protective gear. We’ll show you how to use the masks and cans properly for a clean, safe experience.
Can control 101: Learn the ropes from our pro artists. We’ll teach you about nozzle pressure, distance, and how to create crisp lines versus soft fades.
The collaborative outline: Start hitting the canvas! You’ll work together to map out the large-scale mural that serves as the centerpiece of your networking.
Vibrant filling: It’s time for colour. This is where the energy peaks as everyone adds their personal flair to the shared masterpiece.
Final detailing: Our artists help you add those professional finishing touches—highlights, outlines, and "flare" that make the art pop.
The unveiling & photos: Step back and admire the work. This is the perfect time for group photos and final networking chats while the paint dries.
Wrap up: We handle all the cleanup. You head away with new industry contacts and a massive boost in creative confidence!

Local culture

Tauranga isn't just a coastal paradise; it’s a growing hub for contemporary art and urban culture. From the vibrant murals decorating the CBD to the creative energy found in the Mount Maunganui alleyways, street art is woven into the fabric of the Bay. Our networking events tap into this local spirit, giving your group a chance to contribute to the city's artistic vibe.

Fun Fact: Did you know Tauranga hosts several street art festivals? The city has transformed many of its utility boxes and blank walls into stunning public galleries, making it the perfect backdrop for a creative professional gathering! 🎨

We love incorporating local Tauranga themes into your networking sessions—think icons like Mauao (The Mount) or coastal palettes that reflect our stunning Moana. By choosing a local creative experience, you’re not just networking; you’re immersing yourself in the unique Kiwi "can-do" attitude that defines Tauranga's business community.
