Where in Rotorua do these creative networking events take place?

Forget boring hotel conference rooms! Our Rotorua networking events take place at active street art sites or creative studios. We bring all the necessary gear, including premium spray paint, masks, and gloves. You’ll be guided by professional artists who ensure the environment is safe, high-energy, and completely inclusive for all skill levels. It’s a literal breath of fresh air for your professional circle.

Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Not at all! In fact, having no experience often makes the networking better. It levels the playing field, allowing CEOs and interns to learn a new skill together. Our artists provide a full safety briefing and technical demo before anyone touches a can. You'll be surprised at how quickly you'll be creating 'sweet' tags and pieces with just a few expert tips.

What happens if the Rotorua weather doesn't play ball?

Rotorua’s weather can be a bit 'choice' sometimes, but we’ve got you sorted. We have access to several awesome indoor venues and sheltered spots across the city. If the rain comes down, we simply move the party under cover. The creativity (and the networking) never has to stop just because of a bit of drizzle.

What is the ideal group size for a graffiti networking session?

We are very flexible with group sizes! Whether you are a small startup team of 10 looking to meet partners or a large industry association of 100+, we can scale the event to suit. For larger groups, we bring in extra 'backup' artists to ensure everyone gets enough hands-on time with the spray cans and plenty of opportunities to chat.

How long does a typical creative networking session last?

Our standard creative networking sessions usually run between 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for the initial 'meet and greet,' the artistic tutorial, the actual painting session, and a final wrap-up where everyone admires the collab. We can easily tweak the timing to fit into your wider conference schedule or evening mixer plans.

Is it safe? What about the fumes and my clothes?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective ponchos to keep your 'good clothes' clean. We also use low-odour paints where possible and ensure all sites have excellent ventilation. Our artists are trained in site safety, so you can focus entirely on making connections and creating art without any worries.

The experience

Traditional networking can be a bit 'stuck in the mud.' We bring the heat! Here’s why a graffiti-themed networking event is the ultimate choice for Rotorua professionals:

Instant Icebreaker: It's hard to be formal when you're both wearing protective ponchos and learning how to spray a 'fade'. 🎤
Memorable Connections: You won't just remember a name; you'll remember the person you helped paint a three-meter lizard with! 🦎
Total Inclusivity: Art is a universal language. It levels the hierarchy and gets everyone from the CEO to the intern working side-by-side. 🏆
Zero Pressure: Our 'pay after the workshop' policy means you can focus entirely on the fun without financial stress upfront. ✨
Professional Guidance: Our expert artists ensure everyone creates something they’re proud of, regardless of their artistic talent.
The 'Cool' Factor: Show your partners and clients that your network is forward-thinking, creative, and uniquely Rotorua. 🔥

Step by step

The Meet & Greet: Arrive at our Rotorua location and grab a refreshment while meeting your fellow attendees in a relaxed, non-corporate setting.
Artist Demo: Our pro graffiti artists give a high-energy demo, showing you the basics of can control, cap types, and layering techniques.
The Icebreaker: Engage in a quick 'tagging' exercise where you create your street art handle—it's the perfect conversation starter.
Collaborative Concept: Group up with new contacts to brainstorm a theme for your shared canvas or wall space, fostering immediate teamwork.
Let it Rip: Grab the cans! You'll start painting your collaborative piece, with our artists on hand to offer tips and help your vision come to life.
The 'Big Reveal': We step back to admire the collective work. This is the prime time for photos and deeper professional conversations.
Cleanup & Wrap: We handle the mess while you exchange business cards (or LinkedIn profiles) and celebrate a successful, creative afternoon.

Local culture

Rotorua isn't just about the stunning geysers and Māori culture; it has a burgeoning creative heart that beats through its laneways and community hubs. From the vibrant murals near Te Puia to the hidden gems in the CBD, the city is embracing street art as a way to tell its unique stories. Our networking events tap into this local 'mana', providing a space where the geothermal energy of the region meets modern urban expression. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Rotorua is home to some incredible large-scale murals that celebrate local iwi legends? Engaging in street art here feels like a natural extension of the city's long history of visual storytelling and wood carving. 💪
