Is the graffiti workshop safe for my office team?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective suits, gloves, and masks to keep everyone clean and safe. Our professional artists lead the session with a full safety briefing, and we use low-pressure spray cans that are easy to control. We make sure the environment is well-ventilated so your team can focus entirely on having a blast and creating some epic art together.

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Not at all! In fact, some of the best results come from people who haven't picked up a spray can since high school. Our expert artists are there to guide you through every step, from basic lines to advanced shading techniques. We focus on the 'fun' in functional art, ensuring everyone feels confident and capable, regardless of their artistic background or previous experience.

Where in Rotorua do these team building sessions take place?

We are super flexible! We can host the workshop at a dedicated outdoor street art spot in Rotorua or bring the entire setup to your office carpark or a local event space. We use protective floor coverings and temporary walls (cling film or boards) to ensure we leave the place exactly as we found it—just with a lot more creative energy in the air!

How long does a typical team building session last?

Standard corporate team building workshops usually run for about 2 to 2.5 hours. This gives your crew enough time to learn the ropes, practice their tags, and collaborate on a final large-scale masterpiece. If you're on a tight schedule or want an extended deep-dive session, just let us know and we can customise the timing to suit your Rotorua itinerary.

What should my team wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. While we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, it's always best to be prepared. If we’re working outdoors in the Rotorua breeze, a light jacket is a good idea. We provide everything else, including all the paint, caps, and safety gear!

What happens if it rains on the day of our event?

While we can't control the Rotorua clouds, we always have a plan B! We can move the session to an indoor or covered location, or use our mobile 'cling film' walls in a sheltered area. We also have backup artists and flexible scheduling to ensure your team building event goes ahead without a hitch, no matter what the Bay of Plenty weather throws at us.

Tagging 101: Each team member develops their own 'tag' or signature style, finding their unique creative voice.
The Master Plan: Teams huddle up to brainstorm a concept that represents their company values or team goals in Rotorua.
Sketching it Out: We help you scale up your ideas onto the main canvas or wall using light 'sketch' colours.
Filling & Shading: This is where the magic happens! Your team works together to fill in the piece with vibrant colours and cool gradients.
The Finishing Touches: Our artists help you add those sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make the artwork pop.

Local culture

Rotorua isn't just about geothermal wonders and adventure sports; it's a city with a deep-rooted appreciation for visual storytelling and Māori artistry. From the vibrant murals near Kuirau Park to the evolving street art scene in the CBD, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our workshops tap into this local creative energy, often drawing inspiration from the stunning natural landscapes and cultural heritage that makes Rotorua world-famous.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Rotorua is home to some of the most intricate traditional carvings in NZ? We love blending that sense of local heritage with modern street art techniques during our sessions!

Whether we're setting up near the lakefront or at a private venue, the atmosphere in Rotorua always adds an extra layer of "mana" to our creative sessions. We're proud to contribute to the city's colourful identity one spray can at a time.
