Do I need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our workshops at music festivals in Tacuarembó are designed for everyone, from total beginners to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists will guide you through the basics of can control, "cutting" lines, and creating shadows. You don't need to be 'good at drawing' to make something that looks amazing on a festival wall! We're all about expressing yourself and having a blast while doing it.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We've got you covered. Graffitifun provides high-quality spray paint in a rainbow of colours, various nozzle sizes (caps) for different effects, protective gloves, and masks. For festival setups, we usually provide huge temporary wooden walls or canvases. Just bring your energy and maybe wear some clothes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of 'artistic' dust on—though we do provide protective gear!

Is the graffiti workshop safe, especially in a crowded festival?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control and provide high-quality protective masks and gloves for all participants. Our artists are trained to manage groups in busy festival environments, ensuring everyone has enough space to work safely. We also ensure our painting zones are well-ventilated, making the experience comfortable for everyone involved.

How long does a typical festival workshop session last?

At a music festival, we usually run 'drop-in' style sessions or scheduled 90-minute intensives. This allows you to catch your favourite bands and still have time to create a masterpiece. It's the perfect way to take a break from the mosh pit and engage your brain in a different kind of rhythm. Check the festival schedule for our specific 'set times'!

Can we book a workshop for a large group of friends?

We love working with festival organisers! Whether it's a small boutique folk festival or a massive rock event in Tacuarembó, we can scale our setup to match. We can provide multiple artists to run ongoing 'live art' sessions where festival-goers contribute to a giant collaborative mural. It’s a fantastic way to create a lasting visual memory of the event. Just reach out for a custom quote!

How does the payment process work?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require any payment until after the workshop is completed. This keeps things stress-free for festival planners and groups alike. We believe in the quality of our work and want you to be 100% satisfied with the creative explosion we bring to your event before any money changes hands.

What happens if the artist can't make it to the festival?

We have a dedicated team of backup artists ready to step in if someone falls ill or has an emergency. This means your festival's creative programming is guaranteed to go ahead as planned. We haven't missed a 'gig' yet, and we don't plan to! Reliability is just as important to us as the art itself.

Step by step

Meet the crew: Head over to the Graffitifun zone at the festival and meet our pro street artists who'll be your mentors for the day.
Safety first: Get geared up with protective gloves and a mask. We'll give you a quick rundown on how to use the equipment safely.
Master the 'can control': Learn the secrets of the spray can, from different nozzle types to how to hold the can for the perfect line.
Sketch your soul: Use chalk or light spray to map out your design on the festival wall. No ideas? Our artists have plenty of inspiration to share!
Fill and flow: Start adding vibrant colours to your piece. This is where the magic happens and your vision starts to pop off the wall.
Outline and detail: Learn how to add those sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make professional graffiti really stand out.
Final touches: Add cool effects like 'drips' or 'bubbles' to give your artwork that authentic street art personality.
The big reveal: Step back, admire your work, and snap those essential photos for your socials while the music plays in the background!

Good to know

Our festival workshops are designed to be as flexible as a bassline. Typically, sessions run for about 90 minutes, but we also offer 'all-day' interactive stations where people can drop in and out. We provide everything: premium spray cans, nozzles, protective gear, and the surfaces to paint on. We can accommodate everything from small groups of 5 to large festival crowds of 100+. Safety is paramount, so we use high-grade masks and ensure our painting zones are positioned for optimal airflow. Plus, with our backup artist policy, your event is always covered! 🏆

Local culture

Tacuarembó is the beating heart of Uruguayan tradition, famous for its gaucho culture and the legendary 'Patria Gaucha' festival. But don't let the traditional roots fool you—this city has a growing appetite for contemporary expression. Bringing a music festival graffiti workshop here creates a thrilling contrast between the rural heritage of the north and the urban energy of street art. We love settting up our canvases near the iconic Carlos Gardel monuments, blending the 'King of Tango' vibes with modern spray-painted murals. Fun Fact: Tacuarembó locals are fiercely proud of their city being the disputed birthplace of tango legend Carlos Gardel—our workshops often see participants sneaking 'tango' motifs into their street art designs! 🎨

Pricing

We believe every festival has its own unique rhythm, which is why we don't have a one-size-fits-all price tag. Whether you’re looking for a private group session or a massive crowd-pleasing activation, we'll tailor the setup to your budget. Prices depend on group size and setup—request a quote today to get an instant estimate. No upfront payments are needed; we're so confident you'll love the experience that you only pay once the art is done! ✨
