Is it safe for primary school children to use spray paint?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our spray paints are water-based or low-solvent where possible, and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spaces. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children, ensuring everyone follows safety protocols while having a blast creating their masterpieces.

Do the students need any prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists start with the very basics, showing the kids how to hold the can and control the pressure. We use various techniques and stencils to ensure every child, regardless of their artistic background, walks away with something they are proud of. It’s all about the experience and trying something new!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop in Poznań usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large group mural or individual canvases. We can also adapt the timing to fit into your specific school timetable or triple-lesson blocks.

What should the pupils wear on the day of the workshop?

We recommend that students wear 'messy clothes' or old trainers they don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Although we provide full protective suits and gloves, graffiti is a hands-on art form and splashes can happen! It's better to be safe and comfortable so the children can focus entirely on their creativity without worrying about their school uniforms.

Where in Poznań are the workshops usually held?

We are very flexible! We can come to your school grounds in Poznań and set up mobile graffiti walls or use large cellophane 'wrap walls' between trees or poles. Alternatively, we can arrange for the workshop to take place at a cool local street art spot. If the weather is looking rainy, we have indoor solutions that use low-odour paints and plenty of floor protection.

Do we need to pay in advance for the school workshop?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no-stress' booking policy. You don't have to pay anything upfront! We believe in the quality of our workshops so much that you only pay after the event is completed. This makes the administrative process much easier for schools and parent-teacher associations. Just book your date and we will handle the rest!

How do you handle large groups or students with special needs?

Our workshops are highly inclusive. For children with physical disabilities or sensory sensitivities, we adapt our teaching methods and equipment. We can provide lighter cans, alternative nozzles that are easier to press, or focus on stencil work which requires less fine motor control. Just let us know your students' specific needs in advance, and we will ensure everyone is fully included in the fun.

The experience

Why choose Graffitifun for your school in Poznań? We don't just teach art; we build confidence and community. Here is why we are the go-to choice for local teachers:

Confidence boost: Students who don't 'traditionally' excel in art classes often find their voice in the free-form world of graffiti. 🚀
Safety first: We provide professional-grade protective gear and use low-odour materials to keep everyone safe.
Pro artists: Our team consists of active street artists who are passionate about passing on their skills to the next generation. 🔥
Zero risk: With our 'pay after' policy and backup artist guarantee, your school event is in safe hands.
Teamwork: Creating a collaborative mural teaches kids how to communicate and work together towards a huge, colourful goal. 🏆

Step by step

Introduction & safety briefing: We start with a high-energy intro about street art history and a vital safety talk.
Mastering the can: Students learn 'can control'—how to hold the spray can and manage pressure for different effects.
Line work & dots: We practice basic shapes, thin lines, and thick fills on practice boards.
The tag creator: Pupils learn how to design their own unique 'tag' or signature style.
Stencil techniques: We introduce stencils for those who want to add sharp, detailed icons to their work.
Colour blending: Students learn the 'fade' technique to blend vibrant colours like a pro.
The grand finale: The class works together on a massive mural or individual canvases to take home.
Group photo & cleanup: We celebrate the artwork with photos and ensure the site is left spotless.
