The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school? It’s more than just painting; it’s an empowering experience that builds confidence and teamwork. Here is why Trondheim schools love working with us:

  • Boosts confidence: Seeing a massive, colourful piece of art they created themselves gives kids a huge sense of achievement. 💪
  • Fully mobile: We bring the entire studio to your schoolyard—no expensive bus trips to coordinate!
  • Inclusive art: Graffiti doesn't require "traditional" drawing skills, making it accessible for children who might struggle in standard art classes. 🌈
  • Safe & professional: We use top-tier safety gear and low-odour paints, led by artists who are DBS/police checked (where applicable) and experienced with kids.
  • No risk booking: With our "pay later" policy and backup artist guarantee, your school event is in safe hands. 🎤
  • Team building: Collaborative mural options encourage students to communicate and work together towards one giant goal.

Step by step

  1. Intro & inspiration: Our pro artists start by showing the kids some epic street art examples to get their creative juices flowing. ✨
  2. Safety first: We suit everyone up in protective gear and explain the golden rules of using spray cans responsibly. 🛡️
  3. Sketching 'the tag': Each student grabs a marker and practices their own name or 'crew' nickname on paper first.
  4. The practice run: We move to the walls (or boards) to learn basic nozzle control, making dots, lines, and simple shapes. 🎨
  5. Outline & fill: The kids start their main piece, learning how to fill in large areas with vibrant colours without drips.
  6. Adding the 'pop': We teach them how to add 3D effects, shadows, and highlights to make their letters jump off the surface! 💥
  7. The final outline: Using a contrasting colour, the students trace their work to make it look sharp and professional.
  8. Clean up & gallery: We tidy up the site and hold a 'grand gallery opening' where students can admire each other's incredible work. 🏆

Local culture

Street art in Trondheim

Trondheim is a city where tradition meets modern innovation, and its street art scene is no different! From the hidden murals in the Ila district to the creative energy around Svartlamon, "Trondhjæm" has a rich history of public expression. We love bringing this urban energy to local primary schools, connecting students with the contemporary culture seen throughout their own city. By teaching graffiti in a structured, legal, and educational environment, we help kids understand the difference between vandalism and the beautiful street art that decorates the corners of the Nidelva river.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Trondheim is home to some of the most northern street art festivals in the world? The city’s cool, crisp air is actually great for spray paint to dry quickly! ❄️
