Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely not! Our retreat workshops in Differdange are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists guide you through every step, from basic spray can techniques to advanced layering and shading. We focus on the joy of creation rather than technical perfection, ensuring everyone leaves with a piece of art they are proud of and a massive smile on their face.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need for a fantastic creative session. This includes high-quality spray paints in a rainbow of colours, protective clothing (overalls, gloves, and masks), and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. Whether we are working on a collaborative mural or individual canvases for you to take home, we've got the gear covered. Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

The health and safety of our participants are our top priorities. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure you aren't breathing in fumes, along with nitrile gloves and protective suits. Our workshops are typically held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors also give a comprehensive safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure everyone handles the equipment correctly and safely.

How long does a typical retreat session last?

Our creative retreat workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is the 'sweet spot' that allows for a proper introduction, technique practice, and enough time to lose yourself in the flow of painting your final masterpiece without feeling rushed. If you have a specific schedule or want a full-day immersive retreat experience, we can certainly customise the duration to fit your group's needs perfectly.

Where in Differdange do the workshops take place?

Differdange has some wonderful industrial-chic spots and creative hubs, but we are also fully mobile! We can bring the graffiti retreat to your hotel, a local park, or even your corporate headquarters if there is a suitable outdoor space. If you don't have a venue in mind, don't worry—we have a network of cool locations across Luxembourg, from nearby Esch-sur-Alzette to the heart of Luxembourg City, where we can host you.

Do I need to pay in advance?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require any upfront payment! You can book your retreat workshop today to secure your date and then pay the full amount after the event has concluded. We want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands. It’s all part of our commitment to making your creative journey as stress-free and fun as possible.

Can you accommodate large groups for a corporate retreat?

Yes, we love working with large groups! Whether it's a corporate team-building retreat, a large family gathering, or a community project, we can scale our sessions to accommodate dozens of participants. For very large groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure everyone gets individual attention and guidance. Just let us know your group size when requesting a quote, and we'll handle the logistics.

The experience

Why settle for a boring hotel conference room when you can unleash your team's potential on a wall? Our retreat workshops aren't just about art; they are about breaking barriers and building confidence. ✨

Authentic vibe: Work with real street artists who live and breathe this culture every day. 🎤
Stress relief: There is something incredibly meditative about the 'hiss' of a spray can and the flow of paint.
Collaboration: Our group mural sessions encourage communication and shared vision like no other activity. 🤝
Takeaway art: Everyone creates something tangible—either a shared memory on a wall or a personal canvas. 🏆
Ultimate flexibility: From kids parties to brand activations, we adapt to your goals.
Zero risk: With our pay-after-service policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.

Step by step

Arrival and welcome: Meet your professional artist guides at the chosen Differdange location. We start with a high-energy intro to the world of street art.
Safety first: Suit up! We provide everyone with protective overalls, gloves, and professional masks to keep things clean and safe.
Can control 101: Learn the basics of spray painting, including how to hold the can, adjust pressure, and create different line widths.
Sketching your vision: Brainstorm your designs on paper first. Whether it's a personal tag or a group concept, our artists help you refine your ideas.
Outlining: Take to the wall or canvas! Start by sketching your 'skeleton' lines with a light paint colour to map out your masterpiece.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens. Learn how to 'fill' your shapes with vibrant colours and master the art of smooth gradients and fades.
Sharpening the details: Use high-contrast colours to add outlines, highlights, and 'force' lines that make your graffiti pop off the surface.
The final reveal: Step back and admire the collective work. We take professional photos of the group with their creations to capture the memory forever.

Good to know

Duration: Standard sessions are 2-3 hours, but we can extend this for full-day deep-dive retreats.
Group sizes: From intimate groups of 5 to large-scale events for 100+ people. We always maintain a great teacher-to-student ratio.
Included: All spray cans, canvases/boards, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and professional artist instruction.
Location: We can host at various urban spots in Differdange or come to your specific venue.
Safety: We use high-quality, professional masks and ensure all environments are well-ventilated. Safety is non-negotiable! 🛡️
Weather: For outdoor sessions, we always have a rainy-day backup plan or alternative indoor dates.

Local culture

Differdange, often called 'the Iron City', has a unique energy that perfectly complements the raw nature of graffiti. Once the industrial heart of Luxembourg, it has transformed into a vibrant cultural hub where the steel-working past meets contemporary creativity. Painting here feels different; you are surrounded by the legacy of the 1535° Creative Hub, an incredible space that proves how art can revitalise a community. 🎨

In Differdange, street art isn't just decoration; it's a conversation. From the local murals near the town hall to the hidden gems in the woods of Lasauvage, the city is a playground for those who love urban aesthetics. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging you to draw inspiration from the city's metallic textures and resilient history.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Differdange is home to the 1535° Creative Hub? It's the largest creative incubator in the region, housed in the former buildings of the ArcelorMittal steelworks. It’s the absolute epicentre of innovation and artistic grit! 🔥
