How long does a typical after-school graffiti workshop last?

Our after-school sessions in Differdange generally last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance for students to learn the fundamentals of spray painting, design their personal 'tag', and execute a final piece on a canvas or wall without feeling rushed. It fits perfectly into that post-school window before evening activities begin.

Is the workshop safe for students and children?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep clothes clean. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups specifically, ensuring that the spray cans are used responsibly and that the environment remains a positive, creative space for every student involved.

Do we need to bring our own spray cans or gear?

Absolutely not! We provide everything needed for a world-class street art experience. This includes professional-grade spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps for different line widths, protective gear, and the canvases or surfaces themselves. Students just need to bring their enthusiasm and wear some old shoes just in case!

What if the students have no previous artistic experience?

No talent is required—just a desire to have fun! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to those who enjoy drawing. Our artists guide students through simple techniques that yield impressive results quickly, boosting their confidence and showing them that anyone can be creative with the right guidance.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

While we love the sun, Luxembourg weather can be unpredictable. We have access to several sheltered or indoor locations in and around Differdange where we can host the workshop safely. If the weather is truly extreme, our backup artists and flexible scheduling mean we can usually find a solution that works for everyone.

Do I need to pay for the workshop in advance?

We believe in the power of our workshops, which is why we offer a 'pay after' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront costs; you can settle the payment once the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. It makes the booking process for schools and parents completely stress-free.

What are the benefits of graffiti as an after-school activity?

Beyond the artistic skills, students learn patience, spatial awareness, and planning. It’s a fantastic way for them to de-stress after a day of academic learning. They also build confidence by seeing a project through from a sketch to a finished, large-scale piece of art they can be proud of.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a quick chat about the history of street art and a vital safety demo on how to use the gear properly. 🎨
Sketching your vision: Students grab paper and pencils to map out their ideas, learning about letter structures and "flow".
Can control basics: We move to the wall (or canvas) to practice basic lines, dots, and pressure control with the spray cans.
The first outline: It's time to go big! Students transfer their sketches to their main surface with a light "ghost" outline.
Filling in with colour: This is where the magic happens as we fill in the letters with bold, vibrant colours and gradients. 🔥
Sharpening the edges: We teach the "cut-in" technique to make the outlines crisp and professional-looking.
Adding the details: Students add highlights, 3D effects, and "low-lights" to make their artwork pop off the surface.
The final masterpiece: We finish with a group critique and a photo session to celebrate everyone's hard work! 🏆

Local culture

Differdange, with its rich industrial heritage and the iconic 1535° Creative Hub, is the perfect backdrop for a graffiti revolution. The city has always been a place of making and doing, and we’re proud to add a splash of modern colour to its streets. From the steel mills of the past to the creative studios of today, Differdange knows the value of hard work and artistic expression. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Differdange is actually Luxembourg's third-largest city? Despite its size, it feels like a close-knit community where local talent is always celebrated—making it the ideal spot for a communal street art project!

Our workshops often draw inspiration from the city's surroundings, encouraging students to think about how their art interacts with the urban landscape of Luxembourg.
