How long does a graffiti workshop for a communion last?

For a communion party in Differdange, our typical workshops last between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance, giving the children enough time to learn various spray techniques and complete a masterpiece without losing focus. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive session, we can easily extend the duration to 3 hours. We always work around your celebration's schedule!

Do the children need to have any prior drawing skills?

Not at all! Our professional artists provide one-on-one guidance to ensure everyone feels confident. We start with the basics of can control and lettering before moving on to the main artwork. It is a 'fun first' environment where mistakes are just part of the creative process. By the end of the session, even those who claim they can't draw a stick figure will be amazed at what they have created.

Is the paint safe and do you provide protective gear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone’s festive clothes clean. We also use low-pressure spray cans which are much easier for younger hands to control. All our workshops are led by experienced artists who ensure the environment remains safe and supervised at all times throughout the event in Differdange.

Can the workshop take place at our home or a rented hall?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at a dedicated outdoor graffiti spot in the Differdange area, or we can come to your garden or a rented venue. If you choose a private location, we take care of all the necessary floor and wall protection to ensure no unwanted paint ends up where it shouldn't. We just need a well-ventilated space to get started.

Can the kids take their artwork home after the party?

Definitely! One of the highlights for the communion child is taking home their very own canvas. We usually have the group work on a collective mural first to learn the ropes, and then everyone gets to create an individual piece on a canvas or board. It makes for a much more exciting and personal memento than a standard party favour!

What is the minimum age for participating in the workshop?

Our workshops are generally best suited for children aged 8 and up, which fits the typical age for a First Holy Communion perfectly. At this age, they have the physical strength to press the spray caps and the coordination to follow the artistic steps. We can also accommodate younger siblings with special water-based markers or simplified tasks so no one feels left out.

Local culture

Differdange has deep industrial roots, but today it is a vibrant hub of culture and creativity. Known as the "Iron City," the local landscape is a stunning mix of gritty industrial heritage and modern green spaces like the Parc de la Chiers. This contrast makes it a fantastic backdrop for street art. In fact, Differdange has embraced various urban art projects over the years, proving that creativity can thrive anywhere! 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Differdange is home to the stunning 1535° Creative Hub? It’s a place where artists and innovators transform old factory halls into modern art—exactly the kind of "maker" spirit we bring to our graffiti workshops!
