Is the graffiti summer camp safe for children and teenagers?

Absolutely! At our Differdange summer camp sessions, safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional artists supervise every flick of the wrist, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and responsibly. We use low-odour, high-quality paints designed for artistic use, making it a safe, controlled, and exhilarating environment for creative youngsters to explore their talents.

What is the recommended age for participants?

While we recommend that participants be at least 8 years old to have the hand strength required for the spray cans, we can adapt our Differdange workshops for younger creative minds using alternative tools. The sweet spot is usually between 10 and 16 years old, where they can fully grasp the techniques and history of street art while having the physical coordination to create something truly spectacular on their canvas.

Do the kids need any previous drawing or painting skills?

No prior experience or 'artistic' talent is needed at all! Our Differdange workshops are designed to turn complete beginners into confident creators. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, how to control pressure, and how to draw a simple line. By the end of the camp, you'll be amazed at the complex pieces the kids can produce. It's all about fun, expression, and trying something new.

What materials are included in the summer camp package?

We’ve got you covered! We provide everything: professional-grade spray paint in a rainbow of colours, protective clothing (overalls, gloves, masks), and the canvases or boards that the kids get to work on. The only thing participants need to bring is their enthusiasm, a pair of old shoes they don't mind getting a bit of dust on, and perhaps a snack and drink to keep their energy up!

What happens if it rains during the outdoor workshop?

Differdange can have its rainy moments, but the creativity never stops! We usually have indoor backup spaces or portable marquees available. If the weather is truly uncooperative, we have flexible rescheduling options. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we almost never have to cancel a session—we just adapt to ensure the spray paint keeps flowing and the fun continues regardless of the clouds.

How does the payment process work? Do I pay upfront?

We believe in the quality of our workshops so much that we offer a 'pay after the event' policy. Once the summer camp session in Differdange is complete and you've seen the smiles and the incredible artwork produced, you can settle the bill. This ensures 100% satisfaction and gives parents and organisers total peace of mind when booking their creative summer activities with us.

Step by step

Arrival and safety briefing: We kick things off in Differdange with a warm welcome and gear everyone up with masks and gloves.
The history of street art: A quick, high-energy intro to how graffiti evolved from subway tunnels to world-class galleries.
Mastering the can: We teach the kids the "nozzle basics"—distance, speed, and pressure are the secrets to the perfect line.
Tagging and sketching: Every artist needs a signature! We help participants design their own unique tag and sketch their main piece.
The first layer: Time to hit the canvas! We guide the kids through filling in their shapes with bold, vibrant colours.
Outlining and details: This is where the magic happens. We show them how to add sharp outlines to make their artwork "pop."
Highlights and effects: Using light and shadow techniques to give the graffiti 3D depth and professional flair.
The final reveal: A group showcase where everyone shares their work and gets photos with their masterpieces!

Local culture

Differdange, known passionately as the "Cité du Fer," has always been a place of grit, sweat, and creation. We love bringing our graffiti summer camp here because the city's industrial soul provides the perfect inspiration for street art. Just as the steel mills forged the heart of Luxembourg, we help local youth forge their own artistic identities. Whether we’re drawing inspiration from the Science Center or the repurposed industrial sites, the energy here is unmatched. ✨

Fun Fact: Differdange is home to some incredible hidden murals! The "Steel City" is increasingly becoming a canvas for international street artists, making it the perfect 'outdoor gallery' for our students to explore.

In addition to our Differdange sessions, we also bring the spray paint magic to Luxembourg City, Esch-sur-Alzette, Dudelange, and Ettelbruck. Street art is a nationwide movement!
