The experience

Ditch the textbooks for a day and let the students take control of the cans! Our workshops aren't just a bit of fun—they are a powerful educational tool that builds skills you simply can't learn sitting at a desk. Here is why secondary schools in Debrecen love our sessions:

  • Boosts Confidence: Seeing a massive, professional-looking mural that they built from scratch gives students a huge sense of accomplishment. ✨
  • Promotes Teamwork: Large-scale graffiti requires coordination; students have to communicate and work together to make the piece cohesive.
  • Creative Expression: It provides a safe, legal outlet for self-expression, helping to steer interest away from illegal tagging and towards artistic street art. 🎤
  • Expert Mentorship: Our artists aren't just instructors; they are professional creatives who share real-world stories about the art industry.
  • Stress Relief: The tactile nature of spray painting is incredibly therapeutic and a great way to de-stress during exam seasons. 🔥
  • Zero Hassle: We handle the setup, the gear, the teaching, and the cleanup—you just provide the space and the students!

Step by step

  1. Introduction & Safety: We meet the students and explain the plan, focusing on the safe use of spray cans and the importance of wearing protective gear.
  2. History & Culture: A quick, engaging talk about the roots of street art and how it evolved from NYC subways to galleries in Hungary.
  3. The Art of the Tag: Students learn to create their own 'tag' or nickname, practicing flow and lettering on paper or practice boards.
  4. Can Control 101: Our pros demonstrate how to hold the can, adjust pressure, and create different line widths – it's harder than it looks!
  5. Collective Sketching: The group works together to outline the main masterpiece, learning about scale, proportion, and layout.
  6. Fill-ins & Colour Theory: This is where the magic happens! Students start filling in the design with vibrant colours and gradients.
  7. Outlining & Highlights: We teach the 'pro' tricks for making art pop using sharp outlines and white highlights for a 3D effect.
  8. The Final Flourish: Students add personal details and 'bits' to the background to make the artwork truly unique to their class.
  9. Group Photo & Clean-up: We celebrate the finished mural with a massive group photo before packing up all materials and leaving the site spotless.
