Step by step

  1. Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a quick intro to the history of street art and a vital safety demo on how to use the equipment responsibly.
  2. Mastering the nozzle: Students learn 'can control'—how to hold the spray can, regulate pressure, and swap nozzles (caps) for different effects.
  3. Sketching the vision: Before hitting the wall, everyone grabs a marker to sketch out their tags or 'pieces' on paper to plan their design.
  4. First lines: Time to spray! Students start with the 'outline' of their creation, getting a feel for the distance between the can and the surface.
  5. Filling and blending: This is where the magic happens. We teach students how to fill shapes evenly and create those iconic graffiti colour gradients.
  6. Adding the 'pop': Our artists show the group how to add 3D effects, shadows, and highlights to make their work jump off the wall.
  7. The final outline: A crisp second outline is added to clean up any messy edges and make the design look professional and sharp.
  8. The grand reveal: We finish with a group photo session and a 'gallery walk' where students can showcase their work to their classmates.

Local culture

Street art in Drammen

Drammen has transformed from an industrial hub into a city that truly embraces modern aesthetics, and street art is a huge part of that evolution. From the creative energy near the Union Scene to the hidden gems along the Drammenselva, the city is finding its pulse through colour. By bringing a graffiti workshop to your school, you're connecting students with this growing local culture.

Fun fact: Drammen was once known as the 'Grey City,' but thanks to urban renewal and massive art projects, it’s now one of Norway's most vibrant urban landscapes!

Our workshops celebrate this "new" Drammen, teaching students that art isn't just for galleries—it's for the walls we pass every day. We’re proud to contribute to the creative spirit of Buskerud!
