Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! Our Drammen workshops are designed for everyone from total beginners to budding artists. We start with the basics—how to hold the can and control the spray—before moving on to more complex techniques. Our expert instructors provide a safe, encouraging environment where youth can experiment and learn at their own pace without any pressure. It's all about discovering your creative voice while having a blast!

How do you ensure the safety of the young participants?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. Our instructors are professional artists trained in workshop safety protocols. We also ensure we use well-ventilated areas or outdoor spaces. Before the cans even come out, we conduct a full safety briefing to make sure every young artist knows how to handle the equipment responsibly.

How long does a typical youth graffiti workshop last?

A standard youth project workshop in Drammen usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, and plenty of hands-on spray time. If you have a specific schedule in mind, just let us know! We are flexible and can adapt the duration to fit into a larger community event or school project.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We bring everything! The package includes professional-grade spray paint in a wide range of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the surfaces to paint on. Whether we are using high-quality canvases that the kids can take home or a large temporary wall for a collaborative mural, we’ve got it covered. You just need to show up!

Where in Drammen do these workshops take place?

We can host workshops at various locations across Drammen. We often work with local community centres, schools, or outdoor parks. If you have a specific venue in mind, we can usually make it work as long as there is adequate ventilation. If you don't have a space, don't worry—we have a network of locations and can help find the perfect spot for your creative project.

How does the payment process work?

We believe in the quality of our workshops so much that we don't require any upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy with the experience. This takes the stress out of the booking process for youth leaders and organisers. We accept various payment methods, and we'll send you a clear invoice once the paint has dried and the smiles are out!

Can we choose a specific theme for our mural or project?

Of course! While we help with the technical side, the creative direction is entirely up to the youth. We can focus on a specific theme—like 'The Future of Drammen' or 'Community Spirit'—or let everyone create their own individual masterpiece. Our artists are there to facilitate their vision, helping them turn their rough sketches into bold, colourful reality on the walls.

Local culture

Drammen has transformed over the years from an industrial hub into a vibrant city that truly embraces culture and the riverfront. The city's bridge-lined landscape and the iconic Ypsilon bridge provide a stunning backdrop for modern creative expression. There’s a growing appreciation for urban art across the Buskerud region, and we love bringing that energy right into the heart of the city.

Fun Fact: Did you know Drammen was once known as the 'Grey Spot' of Norway, but has since won the European City Planning Award for its incredible urban renewal? Street art is the perfect way to continue that colourful legacy! 🎨

Whether we're setting up near the Drammenselva or working with youth groups in Bragernes or Strømsø, we're proud to be part of the city's creative heartbeat. If you're nearby, we also offer projects in Trondheim and Stavanger!

Pricing

Our youth project workshops are competitively priced to ensure community groups can access high-quality art experiences. Prices generally range from kr300 to kr650 per person.

Because every youth project is unique—ranging from individual canvases to massive community murals—the final cost depends on the group size, the amount of paint required, and the specific setup in Drammen.

The best part? No upfront payment is required! You only pay once the workshop is complete and your group is buzzing with creative energy.
