Step by step

  1. Introduction & History: We start with a high-energy intro, covering the evolution of graffiti from New York subways to global galleries.
  2. Sketching Your Vision: Students grab paper and markers to plan their tags, focusing on letter structure and flow before touching a can.
  3. The Safety Brief: Safety first! Everyone gets fitted with protective gear and learns the proper way to handle and shake the spray cans.
  4. Nozzle & Line Control: We head to the 'wall' to practice basic techniques—learning how distance and speed change the thickness of the lines.
  5. Filling & Fading: Students learn how to create vibrant 'fills' and smooth colour gradients (fades) to make their letters pop.
  6. Outlining & Highlights: This is where the magic happens! We add the final outlines and "power lines" to give the artwork a professional finish.
  7. The Masterpiece Reveal: The group steps back to admire their individual pieces or the massive collaborative wall they've created together.

Local culture

Street art in Roskilde

Roskilde isn't just about its stunning cathedral or its Viking history; it’s a city that breathes music and contemporary culture! Known worldwide for the legendary Roskilde Festival, the city has an inherent "orange" spirit of togetherness and creativity. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging students to contribute to the city's modern artistic legacy. We often take inspiration from the vibrant murals found around Musicon, the city's creative district, where the raw edges of urban life meet sleek Danish design. 🎸

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Roskilde Festival often features some of the largest graffiti projects in Northern Europe? We bring that same festival-sized excitement to your school gates! 🎡
