Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our professional artists lead the session with a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring everyone uses the spray cans correctly. We also use low-odor paints whenever possible to ensure a comfortable breathing environment for the youth during the workshop.

Do students need prior art experience to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from those who can't draw a stick figure to aspiring young artists. Our instructors break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on technique, letter structure, and color blending, ensuring every student walks away feeling proud of what they've created on the wall or canvas.

Where in Singapore do these workshops take place?

In Singapore City, we are flexible! We can bring the workshop directly to your school premises if you have a suitable outdoor area or a well-ventilated indoor space. Alternatively, we can host your group at one of our partner legal street art zones. We handle all the logistics, including floor protection and cleanup, so your school facilities remain pristine.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Standard secondary school workshops usually last between 2 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the completion of a large-scale collective mural. We can also adapt the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or CCA (Co-Curricular Activity) blocks.

What materials are included in the package?

We provide everything! This includes premium spray paint in a huge variety of colors, specialized nozzles (caps), protective gear (masks, suits, gloves), and the painting surface (either large wooden boards or a temporary plastic wall setup). We even bring the inspiration! The school only needs to provide the space and a group of enthusiastic students ready to learn.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a brilliant way to build confidence and teamwork. Students learn to express their identity visually while working together on a massive mural, which requires communication and shared vision. It’s a hands-on way to explore topics like social responsibility, urban design, and creative problem-solving. Plus, it's a fantastic stress-reliever for students facing exam pressure!

What happens if we need to change our booking or cancel?

We understand that school budgets and schedules can shift. That's why we don't require any upfront payment to secure your booking. You only pay after the workshop is successfully completed. Additionally, we have a network of backup artists ready to step in, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation ruining your school event.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a cool intro to street art history and a vital safety briefing on how to use the gear correctly.
Mastering the Can: Students learn 'can control'—how to hold the spray can, adjust pressure, and swap nozzles for different effects.
Sketching the Concept: Using markers or chalk, students sketch their initial tag or character designs onto the surface.
Outline Techniques: Our artists demonstrate how to create clean, sharp lines to make the artwork pop.
Fill-ins & Fades: This is where the magic happens! Students learn to blend colors and create smooth gradients and 'fades.'
Highlights & Shadows: We teach the tricks of the trade to add 3D depth and 'shines' to the design.
The Masterpiece Reveal: The group works together to add final touches to the collaborative mural.
Photo Ops: We take high-quality group photos of the students with their finished work—perfect for the school newsletter!
Eco-Friendly Cleanup: Our team handles all the waste and recycling, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them.

Local culture

Singapore City might be known for its "Fine City" reputation, but the street art scene here is absolutely exploding! From the iconic murals in Haji Lane to the legal graffiti walls at Somerset Skate Park, the Lion City embraces urban creativity like never before. Our workshops respect local regulations while celebrating this modern art form. We teach students the crucial difference between illegal vandalism and the professional 'street art' that beautifies our neighborhoods. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Singapore has several 'legal walls' where artists can paint freely? The most famous one near Somerset has seen thousands of layers of paint over the years!

Whether your school is near the bustling CBD or closer to the quiet greenery of Bukit Timah, we bring that urban energy to you, connecting students with Singapore’s evolving cultural identity. 🇸🇬
