Is the spray paint safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every secondary school workshop. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective overalls, and gloves to all students. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas, and our professional artists provide constant supervision. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paint specifically designed for ease of use and safety, ensuring a worry-free creative environment for both teachers and pupils alike.

Do the students need to have any artistic talent or experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from those who have never held a spray can to budding young Picassos. Our artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on building confidence and teaching techniques like 'fading', 'outlining', and 'shading'. By the end of the session, every student will have created something they can be truly proud of, regardless of their prior artistic experience.

Where in Verona do the workshops take place?

Usually, our workshops take place at local legal graffiti walls or specially designated outdoor areas in Verona. However, if your school has a suitable outdoor space with enough ventilation, we can often come to you! We provide all necessary protective floor coverings to ensure no paint gets where it shouldn't. If you're unsure about a location, just get in touch, and we can help find the perfect spot for your group.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard secondary school workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction to the history of street art, a safety briefing, practice sessions, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. We can also adjust the timing to fit into your school's specific timetable or double-period slots if needed, so just let us know your requirements.

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

Rain doesn't have to stop the fun! If the weather looks poor, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor area. Alternatively, we offer flexibility with our 'backup artist' system and can try to reschedule to a drier day. For indoor alternatives, we can work on smaller canvases using water-based paint markers, ensuring the creative energy continues even if the Italian sun decides to take a break.

Do we need to pay in advance for the school trip?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require any upfront payment! You can book your date and confirm the details with us, and the payment is only settled after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives schools and teachers peace of mind, knowing that you only pay for a service that has been delivered to your total satisfaction. It’s all part of our 100% fun guarantee!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro about graffiti culture and the transition from 'tagging' to professional street art.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out with professional masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep those school uniforms clean!
Can control: Our artists demonstrate 'the flick of the wrist' – teaching students how to control pressure and distance for the perfect line.
Sketching the vision: Students work together or individually to sketch out their designs on paper before touching the wall.
The first layer: Time to spray! Students apply the 'fill-in' colours to their designs, learning how to blend and fade effortlessly.
The outline: This is where the magic happens. We teach pupils how to add sharp outlines to make their artwork pop.
Adding details: From highlights and sparkles to 3D shadows, we show them the tricks the pros use to add depth.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the finished masterpiece – a perfect addition to the school newsletter!
Clean up & feedback: We wrap up the session with a quick tidy-up and a chat about what the students learned and achieved.

Local culture

Verona might be famous for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but there is a thriving, modern pulse beating beneath its ancient stones. Beyond the Arena, the city's street art scene is growing, with local artists adding vibrant splashes of colour to the urban landscape. Our workshops often take place near the industrial charm of the Porto San Pancrazio area or other designated creative zones where urban art is celebrated.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Verona has specific 'Muri Liberi' (Free Walls) where street art is legally protected? This allows the city to stay beautiful while giving young artists a legitimate space to practice their craft! 🇮🇹

By bringing your secondary school students here, you aren't just giving them an art lesson; you're connecting them with the contemporary culture of one of Italy's most historic cities. We celebrate the contrast between the 'old' Verona and the 'new' creative spirit! ✨

Pricing

Our school workshops are competitively priced to ensure as many students as possible can experience the joy of street art. Our rates generally range between €25 and €55 per person. This price is all-inclusive of our professional artist instructors, all materials, and the rental of the workspace.

Please note that the final price depends on your specific group size, the duration of the workshop, and whether you want students to work on a collective mural or individual canvases to take home. 🎨
