Is the spray paint safe for people with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, low-odour water-based spray paints for our indoor sessions and when working with sensitive groups. They are much gentler than traditional solvent sprays while still providing that vibrant, authentic graffiti look. We also provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone involved in Dublin.

How do you handle different learning speeds or physical abilities?

Patience and flexibility are at the heart of what we do. Our Dublin-based artists are experienced in adapting their teaching style on the fly. If a participant needs more time, a different physical approach, or a quiet break, we facilitate that without any pressure. We focus on the process and the joy of creation rather than strict technical perfection.

Can the workshop be held at our own facility in Dublin?

We can certainly come to you! While we have great locations in Dublin, we often bring the workshop to day centres, schools, or community halls. We use protective floor and wall coverings to ensure your space stays clean, leaving only the beautiful artwork behind on canvases or boards. This often helps participants feel more comfortable in a familiar setting.

What is the typical group size for these workshops?

For our special needs programs in Dublin, we recommend a ratio of one artist to every 5-8 participants. This allows for plenty of one-on-one attention and support. If your group has specific high-support needs, we are happy to work alongside your regular carers or staff to ensure everyone feels confident and supported throughout the session.

How long does a session usually last?

Typically, our Dublin workshops last between 1.5 and 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we can easily shorten or lengthen the session based on what your group requires. We can also build in regular 'chill-out' intervals if a continuous session feels like too much.

Do participants need any prior art experience or skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics of how to hold the can and move the arm. Our artists provide templates and guidance that make it easy for anyone to create something they are proud of. It’s all about building confidence and having a brilliant time in the heart of Dublin.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your group in Dublin? Because it’s more than just painting—it’s about sensory engagement, fine motor skill practice, and a massive boost in self-esteem. Here’s why it works so well:

Sensory satisfaction: The sound of the ball rattling in the can and the vibrant flow of colour provide amazing sensory feedback. 🎧
No 'wrong' way: Graffiti is abstract and free-form, which removes the anxiety of having to draw 'perfectly'. 🎉
Total inclusivity: We adapt our tools and techniques so everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive ability, can participate. 💪
Confidence building: There’s nothing quite like seeing a large-scale piece of art that YOU helped create. 🏆
Professional support: Our Dublin artists aren't just talented; they're patient, kind, and great at connecting with people. ❤️
Flexible locations: We can host you at our urban spots or bring the entire setup to your familiar facility. 📍

Looking for something different? We also offer sessions for Schools, Kids parties, Company events, Festivals, Bachelor parties, and Brand activations.

Step by step

Initial chat & planning: We start by discussing your group's specific needs, interests, and any sensory requirements to tailor the Dublin workshop perfectly.
Site preparation: Whether at our Dublin spot or your venue, we set up a safe, accessible creative zone with all protective coverings in place.
The warm-up: We introduce the artists and the day's plan in a relaxed, friendly way, making sure everyone feels comfortable before we start.
Safety & gear: Everyone gets kitted out in suits, gloves, and masks. We explain the 'rules of the can' in an easy-to-understand format.
Practice strokes: We start by spraying on practice boards. It’s all about getting a feel for the pressure and the flow of the paint.
Design phase: Participants choose their colours and themes. We can provide pre-drawn outlines or let the creativity run totally wild!
The main creation: This is where the magic happens! With hands-on help from our artists, everyone works on their individual or group masterpiece.
The big reveal: We take a moment to admire the collective work. It’s a huge confidence booster to see the vibrant colours of a finished Dublin street art piece.
Clean up & take home: We handle the tidy-up, and participants get to keep their artwork (once dry) as a lasting memory of their achievement.

Good to know

Duration: Usually 1.5 to 2 hours, but we are totally flexible to suit your group’s attention span.
Group Sizes: We cater to small, intimate groups or larger community gatherings. We keep our artist-to-participant ratio low for better support.
Included: All spray paint (including low-odour options), canvases/boards, protective suits, gloves, and masks.
Safety first: Our team is fully trained, and we provide a comprehensive safety briefing tailored to the audience's level.
Accessibility: We specifically choose venues with full wheelchair access and plenty of space for movement.

Local culture

Dublin has a legendary street art scene, from the famous walls of the Bernard Shaw to the hidden gems in Smithfield. We draw inspiration from the city's rich history of storytelling and visual expression. Our workshops tap into that 'Dublin soul'—making sure everyone feels part of the city's creative heartbeat. We love bringing a bit of that Temple Bar energy into a safe and controlled environment where your group can thrive.

Fun Fact: Did you know that some of Dublin's most famous street art is located in 'Windmill Lane', originally made famous by U2? It’s a testament to how art and music are the lifeblood of this city! 🇮🇪

In addition to our Dublin sessions, we also bring our colourful expertise to other vibrant Irish cities like Cork, Galway, Limerick, and Waterford.

Pricing

We believe in transparent pricing that offers great value for a truly unique Dublin experience. Our workshop prices typically range from €30 to €60 per person.
