Is the graffiti workshop safe for individuals with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our artist-facilitators are trained to manage the environment carefully, ensuring everyone stays safe while having a blast. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier to control, making the experience accessible and stress-free for those with different motor skills or sensory needs.

Can you accommodate sensory sensitivities during the session?

Yes, we certainly can. We understand that some participants may have sensory sensitivities. We can host the workshop in a quiet, open-air space or a well-ventilated indoor venue with low background noise. Our artists are patient and can adapt their communication style to suit the group. We encourage you to share any specific requirements with us beforehand so we can create the most comfortable environment possible.

Are the workshop locations in Kilkenny wheelchair accessible?

We aim to be fully inclusive. Most of our outdoor locations in Kilkenny are wheelchair accessible. If we are coming to your specific location or a chosen venue, we just need a flat surface to work on. The techniques we teach can be adapted for individuals with limited mobility, ensuring everyone can contribute to the artwork and feel the pride of creating something unique.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! This workshop is designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. Our professional street artists guide the group through every step, from holding the can to masterfully spraying lines and fills. It’s all about the process and having fun with colours, rather than achieving perfection. Everyone will leave feeling like a true Kilkenny street artist!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard special needs workshop in Kilkenny typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible. If you feel a shorter, 60-minute session or a longer, more relaxed afternoon would work better for your group’s energy levels, just let us know and we’ll adjust the schedule.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything! This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps, gloves, masks, and protective overalls to keep clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or boards that the group will paint on. You don't need to bring a thing—just your creativity and an old pair of shoes you don't mind getting a little dusty!

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

We understand that plans can change. One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require upfront payments; you can pay after the workshop is completed. Additionally, we have backup artists available to ensure that your event goes ahead even if there’s an unexpected scheduling conflict. We want your Kilkenny event to be as stress-free as possible!

Local culture

Kilkenny is famous for its medieval history and the iconic Kilkenny Castle, but the city also has a vibrant, modern soul. While you might stroll through the "Medieval Mile," the local creative scene is constantly evolving. Our workshops bring a splash of contemporary street culture to the heart of County Kilkenny, blending perfectly with the city's reputation as a national centre for craft and design.

Fun Fact: Did you know Kilkenny is often called the "Marble City" because of the local black limestone? We think the contrast of bright neon graffiti against that classic stone backdrop looks absolutely epic!

We love working in this city, from the bustling lanes near the River Nore to the quiet community centres in the outskirts. Bringing accessible art to Kilkenny's diverse population is what drives us every day.
