Why is a graffiti workshop better than a standard networking lunch?

Getting your hands dirty (metaphorically—we provide gloves!) is the best way to break the ice. Unlike a standard mixer where you might feel awkward standing in a corner, our Kilkenny networking events give you a shared project. You'll move from small talk to 'big spray' in minutes, creating a relaxed atmosphere where genuine professional connections happen naturally while you create something cool together.

Do I need to have any artistic talent to participate?

Not at all! Our professional graffiti artists are there to guide you every step of the way. We start with the basics of can control and lettering. Most people who attend have never touched a spray can before, and they are always amazed at what they can produce by the end of the session. It's about the experience and the connection, not being a master artist.

What should I wear to the networking event?

We recommend wearing 'paint-friendly' clothes and shoes. While we provide high-quality protective overalls, shoe covers, and gloves, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto surfaces! Think comfortable, casual clothing that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of Kilkenny dust or paint on. Safety gear like masks and goggles are also provided for your comfort.

Can you host the networking event at our specific office location?

Yes, we are fully mobile! While we have great locations in and around Kilkenny, we can also bring the entire setup to your office car park, a hired venue, or a local garden. We handle all the protective floor covering and setup to ensure the 'street' stays in the art and not on your building's walls. We just need a well-ventilated space to get started.

How long does the creative networking session typically last?

Typical creative networking sessions in Kilkenny last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction, technical instruction, plenty of time for collaborative painting, and a final 'gallery walk' where everyone can admire the work and exchange business cards. We can adjust the timing to fit into a tighter corporate schedule if needed.

Is the spray paint safe to use for everyone in the group?

Our Kilkenny workshops are designed with safety as a priority. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paint and provide all necessary PPE, including FFP2 or FFP3 masks and nitrile gloves. Our artists are highly experienced in managing groups and ensuring everyone uses the equipment correctly. We also ensure the work area is properly ventilated or outdoors for maximum airflow.

Can we incorporate our company branding into the graffiti art?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. You can choose to have your team create a large mural that incorporates your company colours, logos, or even your brand values. For networking events involving multiple companies, we often focus on a 'fusion' theme that represents the Kilkenny business community. It makes for a fantastic photo opportunity and a lasting memory of the event.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next Kilkenny hook-up? Because traditional networking is broken, and creativity is the ultimate glue. Here’s why it works:

Instant Icebreakers: It’s hard to be "stiff" when you’re both trying to figure out how to spray a perfect circle. 🎨
Equal Footing: Whether you’re a CEO or an intern, everyone starts with a blank canvas. It levels the playing field!
Memorability: You won't remember another lunch, but you’ll never forget the time you painted a mural in the middle of Kilkenny. 🏆
Tangible Results: You walk away with a physical piece of art (or a great photo) that represents your new connection.
Stress Relief: Spraying paint is surprisingly therapeutic—perfect for busy professionals needing a break. 🧘‍♂️
Local Pulse: Connect with the vibrant, creative side of the Kilkenny business community.

Step by step

Arrival & Meet-up: We kick things off with a quick intro and a chance to meet your fellow Kilkenny professionals over a coffee.
Artist Demo: Our pro graffiti artists show you the ropes—from 'fat caps' to 'skins' and how to control the pressure.
Concept Brainstorm: Work in small, mixed groups to sketch out a design that represents your shared goals or local Kilkenny pride.
The First Layer: Grab your cans! You'll start by filling in the large background areas, getting a feel for the spray.
Collaboration Phase: This is where the networking really happens. You'll need to coordinate with your partners to blend colours and sharpen lines.
Detailing & Outlining: Add the finishing touches and sharp outlines that make your graffiti 'pop' off the canvas.
The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the collective mural. It’s a great moment for group photos and final chats.
Follow-up & Exchange: Wrap up the session by exchanging contact details with your new connections while the paint dries.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Kilkenny might be famous for its medieval "Black and Amber" history, but there is a thriving modern art scene hidden within its winding lanes. From the creative energy of the Kilkenny Design Centre to the murals that pop up during the Kilkenny Arts Festival, this city knows how to celebrate expression. Our workshops take that historic Kilkenny grit and mix it with modern urban culture. We often find inspiration in the local surroundings—from the majestic Kilkenny Castle to the quirky shopfronts of High Street.

Fun Fact: Did you know Kilkenny is often called the "Marble City" because of the dark limestone found nearby? While we won't be carving stone, we’ll be using those same classic Kilkenny textures as inspiration for our digital and physical graffiti backdrops! 🎨
