What happens if it rains during our Kilkenny outdoor party?

Kilkenny is famous for its 'four seasons in one day' weather! We always monitor the forecast closely. If light rain is expected, we can often proceed under existing cover or pop-up gazebos. For more severe weather, we usually provide a backup indoor location nearby or can reschedule the date to ensure your outdoor party remains an absolute blast without the soggy shoes.

Can we take our graffiti art home with us?

Absolutely! While many groups choose to work on a large communal mural, we also offer the option for everyone to paint their own individual canvas. This is a brilliant way for everyone to have a unique souvenir to take home. Whether you want to collaborate on a massive masterpiece or focus on your own piece, our artists will guide you every step of the way.

Do we need to bring our own protective gear or old clothes?

Safety and cleanliness are huge for us. We provide high-quality hooded ponchos, gloves, and masks. However, spray paint is adventurous stuff! We always recommend that you 'dress for a mess' and wear clothes and trainers that you wouldn't mind getting a tiny speck of paint on. Avoid your Sunday best or those brand-new white runners just to be safe while you unleash your inner rebel!

I have zero artistic talent—can I still participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional street artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. By the end of the session, you’ll be amazed at the sharp lines and cool 3D effects you’ve created. It’s all about the experience, the laughs, and discovering a talent you never knew you had.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop session last?

Our standard outdoor party workshops in Kilkenny usually last between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us plenty of time for the introduction, learning the basic can-control techniques, and completing your main masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or want a more intensive 3-hour session, just let us know and we can tailor the timeframe to suit your group’s plans.

Do we have to come to a specific studio, or do you come to us?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our tried-and-tested outdoor locations in Kilkenny, or if you have a private garden or a specific venue with outdoor space and permission, we can come to you. Our team is mobile and brings all the necessary equipment, boards, and paints to turn almost any open space into a temporary street art studio.

Step by step

Arrival and meet-up: Gather your crew at our Kilkenny outdoor spot where our lead artist will greet you with a quick rundown of the day’s plan.
Safety first: Get geared up! We provide everyone with protective suits, gloves, and masks so you can focus on the art without worrying about your clothes.
The basics of the can: Learn the 'spray-art secrets'—from how to hold the can to mastering pressure control for thin lines and thick fills.
Sketching the vision: Use chalk or light paint to map out your design on the wall or canvas. Our artists help you get the proportions just right.
Color selection: Pick from a vibrant range of high-quality spray cans. We’ll teach you how to choose contrasting colors that really 'pop' in the Kilkenny light.
The filling phase: Start bringing your piece to life by filling in the large areas with bold colors and smooth gradients.
Outlining and detailing: The magic moment! Use black or white to add crisp outlines, 'cut-ins', and those professional finishing touches.
Shadows and 3D: Learn how to add depth to your tag or character with simple shadowing techniques that make the art jump off the surface.
Group photo and wrap-up: Stand back and admire the work! We’ll take a legendary group photo of you and your masterpiece before we handle the cleanup.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Kilkenny might be famous for its medieval history and the majestic Kilkenny Castle, but there is a bubbling modern soul beneath those cobblestones. Bringing a graffiti workshop to a city known for its "Marble" limestone creates a fantastic contrast between the ancient and the urban. While the city celebrates the arts every year with the Kilkenny Arts Festival, our workshops let you become the featured artist for the day.

Fun Fact: While you're spraying, you're standing in a city that was the medieval capital of Ireland. In the 17th century, Kilkenny was the seat of the Catholic Confederacy! Talk about adding some historical weight to your street art.

From the bustling atmosphere of High Street to the creative vibes along the Nore, Kilkenny is the perfect backdrop for an outdoor creative explosion. We love tapping into that local energy and helping you create art that feels as bold as the city itself. 🏰
