Is graffiti spray painting safe for children?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including gloves and professional masks to filter out fumes. Our expert graffiti artists in Kilkenny provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. The workshops are fully supervised, ensuring everyone has a blast while staying completely safe and clean. We use premium low-pressure cans that are easier for kids to control.

What is the minimum age for a graffiti party?

We recommend a minimum age of 8 years old for our Kilkenny birthday workshops. At this age, kids typically have the hand strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow the artistic instructions. If you have a slightly younger group, just let us know! We can often adjust the workshop style or use specialized materials to ensure everyone can participate in the creative fun together.

How long does a typical birthday workshop last?

We typically suggest allowing 1.5 to 2 hours for a standard Kilkenny birthday party workshop. This gives the kids enough time to learn the basics, practice their 'tagging' skills, and complete their main masterpiece without feeling rushed. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive session, we can easily extend the duration to 3 hours. We always work around your party schedule!

What should the kids wear to the party?

Wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit of 'street cred' on! While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business. We suggest old trainers and comfortable clothing. We have a saying in Kilkenny: the more paint on your hands at the end, the more fun you've had! Don't worry, the gear we provide covers most of your outfit.

Do the children need any artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists guide the kids through every single step, from holding the can to creating cool 3D effects. By the end of the session, every child—even the ones who think they aren't 'artistic'—will have created something they are genuinely proud of. It’s all about confidence and having a laugh!

Where in Kilkenny does the workshop take place?

We are flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our partner locations in Kilkenny, or if you have a suitable outdoor space (like a garden with a wall or fence we can protect, or a large open garage), we can come to you. We just need a well-ventilated area. If the Irish weather decides to act up, we always have backup plans to ensure the party goes on!

How do I pay and do you require a deposit?

No deposit is required to book your Kilkenny graffiti party! We believe in stress-free planning for parents. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods for your convenience. If you need to change your date, our flexible booking policy makes it easy to reschedule without any financial headaches.

Local culture

Kilkenny might be famous for its medieval history and the stunning Kilkenny Castle, but beneath those ancient stones beats a modern, creative heart. The city has a vibrant arts scene, from the world-renowned Arts Festival to the hidden gems of street art tucked away in its winding lanes. Our workshops tap into this local spirit of craftsmanship and creativity, giving Kilkenny kids a chance to contribute to the city's artistic legacy in their own way. We take inspiration from the colors of the Nore and the energy of the local community to make every workshop feel truly special. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Kilkenny is often called the "Marble City" because of the black limestone found nearby? While we won't be painting on ancient limestone, we’ll definitely be making some rock-solid art! 🏰

Pricing

We believe in transparent, fair pricing for a premium creative experience. Our Kilkenny birthday workshops typically range between €30 and €60 per person, depending on the total number of participants and the specific setup you choose. Remember, there are no upfront payments required—you only pay once the party is complete and the kids are buzzing with excitement! 💸
