Are the workshop locations in La Serena wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely! While we love working outdoors in the fresh air of La Serena, we have several indoor locations and partner venues that are fully accessible. We use low-odour, water-based spray paints for indoor sessions to ensure a comfortable environment for those with sensory sensitivities. Whether we are at a community centre or a private studio, we ensure the space is layout-friendly for all mobility aids and wheelchairs.

What safety measures do you have in place for participants?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 resonance masks, gloves, and protective aprons to all participants. Our artist-to-participant ratio is kept low so that every individual receives constant supervision and physical support if needed. We also use professional-grade paints that are safe when used with our provided gear, and our instructors are trained to manage the equipment safely at all times.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all. This program is designed for everyone, regardless of their artistic background. Our La Serena artists are experts at breaking down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the joy of movement, the vibrancy of the colours, and the 'cool factor' of spray painting. We use stencils and tape techniques to help create clean lines, ensuring everyone walks away feeling like a pro.

How do you cater to individuals with sensory sensitivities?

We understand that large groups or loud noises can be overwhelming for some. We specialise in small-group sessions where we can control the environment. We can provide 'quiet zones', work with visual schedules, and our instructors are patient and soft-spoken. We also offer 1-on-1 support for those who need a more personalised pace. The goal is to make the experience therapeutic and fun, never stressful.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our standard special needs workshops in La Serena usually last between 1.5 and 2 hours. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep engagement high without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible! If your group needs more frequent breaks or a shorter, more intense burst of creativity, we can adjust the schedule to suit your specific energy levels and requirements.

What materials do we need to bring to the workshop?

We provide everything! This includes all the spray paint, caps, safety gear, and surfaces to paint on (like large canvases or wooden boards). We even bring the inspiration! Participants just need to wear old clothes and comfortable shoes that they don't mind getting a little 'colourful'—even though we provide aprons, graffiti can be a bit messy when you're having this much fun!

How does the 'pay after the workshop' policy work?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require any payment until the workshop is completed. You can book your date in La Serena with peace of mind. After the session, once you've seen the smiles and the incredible artwork created by the group, we will handle the billing. We accept various payment methods to make the process as easy as possible for families and organisations.

Local culture

La Serena is known for its stunning neo-colonial architecture and the long stretches of Avenida del Mar, but there is also a burgeoning contemporary soul hidden in its streets. By bringing graffiti workshops to the city, we are connecting the community with the modern 'Muralismo' culture that is flourishing across Chile. We often draw inspiration from the clear skies of the Elqui Valley or the local marine life to make our art sessions feel truly 'Sernense'. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that La Serena is the second oldest city in Chile? While we respect the deep history of the 'City of Belfries', we love adding a splash of modern, temporary colour through our inclusive street art programs! 🌊

Pricing
