Is the paint safe for participants with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority in Santa Cruz. We use low-odour, water-based spray paints where necessary and provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and aprons. Our artists are trained to manage the workshop environment professionally, ensuring all participants are comfortable and safe throughout the creative process. We also choose spacious, well-ventilated locations to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for everyone involved.

How do you adapt the workshop for different special needs?

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive for everyone. We adapt our teaching methods to suit various learning styles and physical abilities. Whether someone has mobility challenges, developmental disabilities, or sensory processing needs, our artists provide one-on-one guidance. We focus on what each person *can* do, ensuring they feel empowered to express themselves through street art in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

How long does a typical session last?

A typical special needs graffiti experience in Santa Cruz lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible! If your group requires a shorter session with more breaks or a longer, more relaxed pace, we can easily customise the schedule to fit your specific requirements.

Do we need to travel to a specific studio?

We can host workshops at various accessible locations across Santa Cruz, or we can come to you! If you have a specific centre, school, or community space that participants are already comfortable with, we can bring all the equipment and set up a mobile street art studio right on your doorstep. This often helps participants feel more relaxed and ready to create.

Do participants need prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are perfect for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists guide the group through every step, starting with simple shapes and 'tagging' techniques before moving on to fuller pieces. We provide pre-sketched canvases or stencils if needed, which helps build confidence and ensures everyone walks away with a piece of art they are genuinely proud of.

What should participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a little paint on. While we provide protective aprons and gloves, graffiti is a hands-on art form and the occasional stray drop of paint can happen! It’s all part of the authentic 'street artist' experience. We’ll take care of all the professional gear like masks and spray cans.

Do I need to pay for the workshop in advance?

We believe in total flexibility. You don't need to pay anything upfront when booking your Santa Cruz workshop. We want you to feel confident in our service, so you only pay after the experience is complete. This ensures a stress-free booking process for organisers and caregivers, allowing you to focus entirely on the excitement of the upcoming creative event.

Local culture

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is a city bursting with energy, tropical warmth, and a rapidly growing urban art scene. From the vibrant murals in the Equipetrol district to the hidden gems in the old town, the city’s walls tell stories of culture and modern identity. Our workshops tap into this "Camba" spirit—relaxed, welcoming, and full of life. We bring that local "Alegre" vibe to every session, ensuring our workshops feel like a celebration of community. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Santa Cruz is known as the "City of Rings"? Its circular layout makes it the perfect place for art to flow from the centre outward to every corner of the community!
