Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep clothes clean. Our instructors are professional artists who have years of experience managing large groups of young people. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier for beginners to control, and we always conduct a thorough safety briefing before anyone even touches a can. Your youth group is in very safe hands with us.

Does this encourage illegal graffiti or vandalism?

Absolutely not! We focus on the artistic and positive side of street art. Our workshops teach participants about the history of the movement, the importance of respect in the art world, and the difference between illegal vandalism and legal public art. By providing a creative outlet and a proper canvas, we actually help reduce the urge for random tagging. It’s about teaching them to use their skills for something constructive and beautiful.

Do the kids need to have prior artistic skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the very basics, from how to hold the spray can to how to pull a consistent line. Our talented artists are there to guide every participant step-by-step. By the end of the session, even those who thought they weren't 'artistic' will be amazed at what they've managed to create on the wall. It’s all about boosting confidence and trying something new!

How long does a typical youth workshop last?

A standard youth project workshop in Santa Cruz typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the intro, the practice session, and the creation of a final masterpiece. However, we are totally flexible! If you have a full-day youth event or a multi-day project in mind, we can definitely scale the experience to fit your schedule. Just let us know what works best for your group's needs.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art session. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles), protective gear like masks and gloves, and the painting surfaces (either plastic foil 'walls' or canvases). We even bring the inspiration! All you need to provide is a suitable outdoor location or a well-ventilated space. If you are struggling to find a spot in Santa Cruz, let us know and we can help brainstorm ideas.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Santa Cruz weather is usually gorgeous, but we always have a plan B. If the weather looks like it might turn, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or a very well-ventilated indoor space. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are incredibly reliable. We will work closely with you in the days leading up to the event to ensure everything runs smoothly, rain or shine!

How do I book a workshop for my youth organisation?

Booking is super easy and stress-free. You can start by using our online Cost Calculator to get a rough idea of the investment, or just send us a request for a quote. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% happy with the result. Once we've agreed on a date and time, our artist will show up ready to inspire your group!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Santa Cruz? It’s more than just painting; it’s about empowerment and connection. Here’s why it works:

Instant Engagement: Graffiti is "cool"—it breaks down barriers and gets even the most quiet teens excited to participate. 🎤
Boosts Confidence: Seeing a massive, colourful piece of art that they helped create gives young people an incredible sense of achievement. 🏆
Teamwork in Action: Large-scale murals require communication and collaboration, teaching kids how to work together towards a common goal. 🤝
Safe Expression: We provide a legal, constructive outlet for energy and emotion piece-by-piece. 🎨
Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just great painters; they are positive role models who love sharing their passion. ✨
No Stress Booking: With our "pay after" policy and backup artists, your event is guaranteed to be a success. 💪

Step by step

The briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, explaining the history of graffiti and showing some epic examples of street art from around the world.
Safety first: Every participant gets kitted out in protective gear, and we demonstrate how to use the equipment safely and responsibly.
First lines: Under the guidance of our pros, the youth learn basic techniques like 'flares', 'outlines', and how to control paint flow.
Design phase: The group works together or individually to sketch out their concept, choosing colours and themes that represent their message.
The filling: This is where the wall starts to pop! Participants learn how to fill in large areas evenly and use gradients for a 3D effect.
Adding details: We teach the tricks of the trade for adding sharp outlines, highlights, and those 'power lines' that make a piece truly stand out.
The finishing touch: Each participant adds their own 'tag' or signature to the work, taking ownership of their creative contribution.
Group photo: We wrap up with a massive group photo in front of the finished masterpiece – a perfect memory to share on social media!

Local culture

In the heart of Bolivia's tropical lowlands, Santa Cruz de la Sierra is a city that pulsates with modern energy and a rapidly growing urban art scene. From the bustling streets of the Equipetrol district to the colourful murals popping up in the Plan Tres Mil, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our workshops tap into this local 'Camba' spirit, encouraging young people to celebrate their heritage through a contemporary lens. We love incorporating local motifs—whether it’s the vibrant flora of the Amboró National Park or the iconic sloths occasionally seen in the city's trees—into our street art designs. 🌿🦥

Fun Fact: Did you know that Santa Cruz is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world? This rapid urban evolution makes it the perfect backdrop for youth-led street art projects that help define the city's future identity! 🏙️🔥
