Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the training?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for educators of all artistic backgrounds. Whether you are a dedicated fine arts teacher or a primary school generalist, our professional artists will teach you the fundamentals from scratch. We focus on 'train-the-trainer' techniques, ensuring you feel confident demonstrating basic strokes and safety protocols to your students. It's all about adding a new, versatile tool to your teaching toolkit.

Is it safe to bring spray painting into a school environment?

Safety is our absolute priority. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including masks and gloves. During the professional development session, we’ll specifically cover how to set up a safe 'outdoor classroom' environment, how to manage paint distribution, and how to ensure students follow strict safety guidelines while having a blast.

What if my school doesn't have a permanent wall for mural projects?

We specialise in adaptability! While large walls are great, we teach you how to run successful workshops using plywood boards, heavy-duty cardboard, or even large-scale canvases. Our La Plata team will show you how to transform any playground or ventilated space into a temporary street art studio that can be packed away at the end of the school day.

Is the training more theoretical or hands-on?

Yes, the training is designed to be highly practical. You will spend a significant portion of the day with a can in your hand, practicing the techniques you'll later teach. We believe the best way to understand the 'flow' of street art is to experience it yourself. By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own pieces and feel ready to lead a class.

Can you provide the training on-site at our school?

Our teacher training is incredibly flexible. We can host the session at a vibrant local spot in La Plata to give you the full street art experience, or our artists can come directly to your school or institution. Bringing the training to your campus is often a great way for us to assess your specific space and provide tailored advice on where your students should paint.

How does this benefit my students in the long run?

La Plata is a city of design and education! Incorporating graffiti into your curriculum helps bridge the gap between traditional art history and contemporary urban culture. It’s a powerful way to engage students who might feel disconnected from classic art forms, encouraging teamwork, spatial awareness, and self-expression. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to beautify school grounds with student-led mural projects.

Local culture

Street art in the City of Diagonals 🎨

La Plata is a masterpiece of urban planning, known for its stunning architecture and vibrant cultural scene. From the historic walkways near the Cathedral to the hidden gems in the Bosque, the city is a perfect canvas for creative expression. Our training takes inspiration from the local murals that decorate the streets of La Plata, connecting your teaching practice to the local community's visual identity.

Fun Fact: Did you know La Plata was the first planned city in South America? Its unique grid and diagonal streets make it a playground for perspective—something we love to explore in our 3D graffiti lessons!

By bringing our graffiti workshops to your school, you're not just teaching a craft; you're participating in a long-standing tradition of Argentine public art that flourishes in cities like Buenos Aires and Rosario. Let's keep that spirit alive in the classroom!
