Is the spray paint safe for secondary school students?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and protective overalls to keep school uniforms clean. Our instructors are experienced professionals who spend the first part of the session teaching proper spray can handling and safety protocols. We always work in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated workshops designed for spray painting.

Do students need to have any artistic talent before joining?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from those who can barely draw a stick figure to aspiring young artists. We use a 'step-by-step' method where we teach the fundamental shapes, lines, and shading techniques of graffiti. By the end of the session, every student will have created something they can be proud of, regardless of their prior artistic experience.

Where in La Plata do the workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible. We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in La Plata if you have a suitable outdoor wall or open space. Alternatively, we can arrange for the session to take place at a local legal street art spot or a private studio. We bring all the equipment to you, making it a hassle-free 'field trip' that stays on campus!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop session last?

Typically, our secondary school workshops last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for the safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We can also adapt the timing to fit into a specific double-period or a full creative arts day depending on your school's timetable requirements.

Does this workshop encourage illegal graffiti or vandalism?

While street art is often associated with rebellion, our workshop focuses on the 'muralist' and 'legal' side of the culture. we discuss the history of the movement and the importance of respecting public property. By providing a legal outlet for this form of expression, we actually help students understand the difference between vandalism and professional urban art, often reducing the urge to tag illegally.

What do the students actually get to take home?

We offer two main options: students can work together on a large-scale collaborative mural (perfect for a school wall or a large canvas for the hallway), or they can work on individual canvases that they get to take home. Most schools choose a combination where they practice individually and then come together for a big final project that celebrates their teamwork.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We usually recommend a minimum of 10 students and can accommodate groups of up to 60 or more by bringing in extra professional artists. We maintain a strict student-to-artist ratio to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and guidance. For very large year groups, we can run rotating sessions throughout the school day to ensure everyone gets a turn.

Creative Freedom: We give students a healthy, legal platform to express their identity and "rebel" through art, not vandalism.

Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active members of the street art community who live and breathe this culture.
Safety Guaranteed: We use top-tier protective gear and water-based or low-odour paints where possible to ensure a safe environment.
Hassle-Free Planning: We bring everything. No mess for the school to clean up, and no stress for the teachers!
Zero Risk: With our "no upfront payment" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.

Step by step

Introduction & History: We kick off with a brief, high-energy talk about the roots of graffiti and how it evolved from NYC subways to the galleries of Buenos Aires and La Plata.
Safety First: Students suit up in protective gear and learn the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely and responsibly.
The Masterclass: Our pro artists demonstrate fundamental techniques like 'fading', 'outlining', and 'dotting' to show what the cans can really do.
Sketching the Vision: Before the paint flies, students brainstorm their designs on paper, focusing on letter structure and colour theory.
First Sprays: Under our guidance, students head to the 'practice wall' to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the spray cans.
The Big Creation: Whether it's a massive group mural or individual pieces, this is where the magic happens and the vision comes to life.
Character & Style: We help students add those final 'wow' factors—highlights, 3D effects, and the all-important 'tag' signature.
Group Review: We wrap up with a gallery walk-through, celebrating the diverse styles and the incredible hard work of the group.

Local culture

La Plata is a city literally designed for perspective, with its famous diagonal streets and perfectly planned grids. It’s no wonder this architectural marvel has become a breeding ground for incredible street art! From the mural-heavy corridors near the National University of La Plata to the hidden gems in the city’s many plazas, La Plata has a unique "planned" beauty that contrasts perfectly with the raw, spontaneous energy of graffiti. 🏛️

Fun Fact: La Plata is known as the "City of Diagonals," but in the street art world, it’s also known for having some of the most intellectual and socially conscious murals in Argentina!

Our workshops celebrate this local heritage, encouraging students to look at their city’s walls as a canvas for storytelling and community identity. We bring that authentic Platense spirit into every session, showing the kids how their own surroundings influence the art they create.
