Do the students need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional graffiti artists start with the basics, from how to hold the spray can to mastering simple lines and shapes. We guide the students every step of the way, ensuring everyone feels confident and creative. By the end of the session, even those who thought they weren't 'artistic' will have created a piece they can be proud of! 🎨

How do you handle safety during the workshop?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student to wear during the workshop. We also use low-pressure spray cans which are much easier and safer to control. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, and we ensure the workspace is well-ventilated or outdoors to keep the environment safe for everyone. 🛡️

How long does a typical school session last?

Standard workshops for secondary schools in Tucumán typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a solid introduction, technique practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. If you have specific scheduling needs or want a full-day intensive project, we can definitely customise the duration to fit your school timetable perfectly. ⏱️

Where do the workshops actually take place?

We are fully mobile! Most of our school workshops take place right on the school grounds, either against a designated wall (with permission) or on our professional mobile plastic walls that we set up and take down. If you would prefer an off-site experience, we can also look into local creative spaces in Tucumán that allow for street art sessions. We bring all the gear to you! 🚚

What should students wear for the workshop?

Graffiti is messy fun, which is why we provide protective overalls. However, we always recommend that students wear 'old' clothes and trainers they don't mind getting a little paint on, just in case. Overspray happens! It’s all part of the authentic street art experience, and being comfortable and 'ready to get dirty' helps students fully engage with the creative process without worrying about their school uniform. 👕

Is there an upfront payment required for schools?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require any payment until after the workshop has been successfully completed. We believe in the quality of our service and want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands. This makes it much easier for school administrations to process payments with total peace of mind. ✅

Can you tailor the session to focus on teamwork?

Yes, street art is a fantastic tool for teamwork. We often design workshops where students work in small teams to create a large, unified mural. This requires communication, planning, and a shared artistic vision. It’s a brilliant way to break down social barriers and build confidence within the year group. Tell us your goals, and we will tailor the session to focus on collaboration. 🤝

Step by step

Introduction & Demo: We kick things off with a high-energy intro about graffiti history and a live demo from our artist.
The Art of the Can: Students learn the 'nozzles and pressure' basics—how to get the perfect line without the drips.
Sketching Your Vision: Everyone grabs a marker to sketch out their ideas on paper before hitting the wall.
First Sprays: Under the guidance of our pros, students start applying their first layers of colour to their workspace.
Filling & Fading: We teach the cool stuff! Students learn how to blend colours and create those iconic street art gradients.
Outlining & Detail: The piece comes to life as we add sharp outlines and highlights to make the art 'pop'.
The Final Mural: If it's a group project, the individual sections are merged into one massive, impressive masterpiece.
Photo Op & Wrap Up: We clean up the site and take high-res photos of the students with their incredible new artwork! 📸

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Tucumán, the "Garden of the Republic," has a soul that is as vibrant as our paint cans. From the historic streets near the Casa Histórica to the bustling energy of the university quarters, this city is a canvas waiting to happen. We love working here because the local youth have a unique rhythm and a proud heritage that translates beautifully into urban art. Street art in Tucumán is growing, with more murals popping up in Yerba Buena and the city centre every year. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Tucumán is home to some of the most passionate "muralismo" movements in Northern Argentina? The city’s history of colonial architecture provides a stunning contrast to the modern, sharp lines of contemporary graffiti! 🏛️
