Do students need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most of our university participants in Tucumán have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics, from how to hold the can to mastering nozzle pressure. We foster a relaxed, non-judgmental environment where 'mistakes' are just part of the creative process. You'll be amazed at the high-quality mural the group can produce by the end of the session!

How long does a typical university workshop last?

Standard university workshops usually run between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows for a solid introduction, technique practice, and the execution of a large-scale collaborative mural. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter 'taster' slot during a student union event, we can adapt the timing to fit your university calendar perfectly. Just let us know your requirements.

Is the workshop safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and specialized masks for all participants. We also use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints. These workshops are ideally held in well-ventilated outdoor spaces on campus. Our artists are fully trained in site safety and will manage the group to ensure everyone has a fun, risk-free creative experience.

Where does the workshop take place on campus?

We are incredibly flexible! We can bring mobile cellophane walls to your campus courtyard, set up large wooden panels, or even work on a permanent wall if the university has designated a 'legal' spot for street art. If your Tucumán campus doesn't have a suitable space, we can arrange a nearby professional street art location for your student group to visit.

How does the payment process work for university groups?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no-worry' booking policy. There is no upfront payment required to secure your date. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. We believe in the quality of our service and want your university society or department to feel 100% confident in the experience we provide.

What is the maximum group size for a Tucumán workshop?

We recommend a minimum of 10 participants for a great atmosphere, but we can accommodate huge groups of 100+ students by bringing in additional professional artists. We have a backup artist system in place to ensure that even if someone falls ill, your event will never be cancelled. Small seminars or large student union takeovers are all possible!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Tucumán, known as the "Garden of the Republic," has a soul that is as green as its hills and as vibrant as its revolutionary history. This rebellious and creative spirit makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop. While cities like Buenos Aires often get the credit for street art, Tucumán’s local scene is thriving with unique northern influences and bold political murals. 🇦🇷

From the bustling student vibes around the UNT (Universidad Nacional de Tucumán) to the creative energy of Yerba Buena, there is inspiration everywhere. We tap into this local energy, encouraging students to blend traditional Tucumano symbols with modern spray paint techniques. Fun Fact: Did you know Tucumán is the smallest province in Argentina but has one of the highest densities of university students? This makes for an incredibly high-energy atmosphere during our workshops! 🚀
