Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all secondary school students with high-quality FFP2 masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep their school uniforms clean. Our professional instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring a controlled and secure environment for every student to express themselves safely.

Do students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to budding young artists. Our instructors are masters at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the 'fun' element of creativity, ensuring every student walks away with a piece of art they are proud of, regardless of their previous experience.

Where in Santa Fe do the workshops take place?

We are flexible! We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Santa Fe if you have a suitable outdoor space, or we can arrange a session at one of our local street art partner locations. If we come to you, we take care of all the floor and wall protection to ensure we leave the premises exactly as we found it.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard secondary school session typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This provides enough time for the initial safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, practice time on the 'try-out' walls, and the final creation of their individual or group masterpiece. We can also tailor the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period slots.

What materials are included in the price?

Everything is included! We provide professional-grade spray cans in a huge variety of colours, specialized nozzles (caps) for different effects, protective gear, and the canvases or boards the students will work on. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and perhaps some old clothes just in case, though we do provide overalls!

Can the students work together on a large mural?

Yes, we do! While many students love creating their own individual canvas to take home, we also offer collaborative mural projects. This is a fantastic way for a class to work together on a large-scale piece of art that can be permanently displayed in a hallway or common area, fostering a sense of school pride and teamwork.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

We try to be as flexible as possible with Santa Fe's weather. If the forecast looks bad, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space with high-volume ventilation. If neither is available, our 'backup artist' system and flexible booking policy allow us to reschedule the session to a better day without any hassle.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your students? It’s a game-changer for student engagement! Here’s why Santa Fe schools love working with us:

Boosts creative confidence: Even students who "can't draw" find success with spray paint! 🎨
Physical and active learning: Get them out of their seats and using their hands in a dynamic way. 🏃‍♂️
Stress relief and expression: Graffiti is a powerful outlet for teenage emotions and identity. ✨
Professional mentorship: Students learn directly from active, successful street artists. 🎤
Zero prep for teachers: We bring everything, set up, and clean up. You just show up! 🏆
No upfront payments: We trust our schools—pay only after the workshop is complete. 💪

Step by step

Intro and demo: Our pro artists kick things off with a high-energy demo, showing the kids what's possible with a spray can.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out in protective gear and learns the golden rules of safe spraying.
Mastering the nozzles: We teach the difference between "skinny" and "fat" caps to control line thickness.
The 'try-out' phase: Students start on practice walls to get a feel for the pressure and movement of the can.
Sketching the vision: Using markers or chalk, students outline their unique design onto their final surface.
Filling and fading: Learners experiment with colour blending and gradients to bring their piece to life.
Outline and highlights: The secret to "popping" art! We add the final sharp edges and white highlights.
Group gallery: We wrap up by displaying all the work together for a mini-exhibition and group photos.

Local culture

Santa Fe has a soul that beats with culture, from the historic charm of the Paseo de la Ribera to the modern energy of its university scene. Our workshops draw inspiration from the city's unique mix of colonial architecture and contemporary murals. We encourage students to look at the "Santalecino" landscape with new eyes, finding beauty in the urban environment. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Santa Fe is known as the "Cradle of the Constitution"? We like to think our workshops empower students to write their own creative laws! Whether inspired by the calm waters of the Setúbal Lagoon or the grit of the city streets, your students will find plenty of local "chispa" to fuel their designs. 🔥
