What materials are provided during the teacher training?

We provide everything you need for the training session. This includes various nozzle sizes for different spray effects, high quality spray paint in a range of colours, professional respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits. We also provide the surfaces for practice, whether that is a canvas, a board, or a dedicated wall space. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and clothes you do not mind getting a bit of paint on!

Do I need prior graffiti experience to join?

Absolutely not! Our training is designed for educators of all levels. Whether you are a seasoned fine arts teacher or someone who can barely draw a stick figure, our professional artists will guide you through the basics. We focus on teaching you the techniques and the safety protocols first. You will be surprised at how quickly you can master the foundations and begin creating impressive street art.

Is the workshop safe for a school environment?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low odour, high quality paints and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including professional grade masks. During the training, we cover essential safety protocols for the classroom, such as proper ventilation, nozzle hygiene, and how to manage a group of students with spray cans safely. You will leave the session feeling confident in managing these risks in your own school.

Can you host the training at our school?

Yes, we can! While we have fantastic locations in Monterrey, we are also fully mobile. We can bring the entire graffiti workshop experience directly to your school or community centre. This is often a great way to assess your own space for future student workshops. We will just need an outdoor area or a very well ventilated indoor space to set up our mobile spray walls.

How long does a typical training session last?

Our standard teacher professional development sessions typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a brief history of the culture, a thorough demonstration of techniques, and plenty of hands-on practice. If you are looking for a more intensive Masterclass, we can extend the duration to a full day. We are happy to flex the schedule to fit your school's timetable or inset day requirements.

What are the educational benefits for my students?

Beyond the fun factor, graffiti is a powerful tool for student engagement. It teaches fine motor skills, colour theory, scale, and collaboration. It is also an incredible way to reach students who might feel disconnected from traditional art forms. By bringing street art into your curriculum, you are validating a contemporary art form that resonates deeply with youth culture, helping to boost confidence and creative expression in your classroom.
