Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Absolutely. Safety is our biggest priority during youth projects in Monterrey. We provide high quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups closely, ensuring that everyone uses the spray cans correctly and stays in a well ventilated area. We make sure the environment is controlled so the kids can focus entirely on being creative and having a blast.

How long does a typical youth session last?

Most of our youth projects last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic techniques, and complete a full masterpiece. If you are planning a larger community event or a multi day school project in Monterrey, we can easily adjust the schedule to fit your needs. We are flexible and can scale the session to match your group energy levels.

Do we need to provide our own spray paint?

You do not need to bring a thing. Graffitifun provides everything required for a successful workshop, including a wide range of premium spray colours, protective gear, and the painting surfaces. Whether we are painting on a legal wall or mobile canvases, we have it all covered. We suggest that participants wear clothes they do not mind getting a bit of paint on, just in case!

Do I need to pay for the workshop in advance?

We believe in our service so much that we do not ask for upfront payments. You can book your youth project today and pay after the workshop is completed. This keeps things simple and stress free for organisers. Our goal is 100 percent satisfaction, so we focus on delivering an incredible experience first. Just request a quote and we can get your date in the diary.

Where in Monterrey do the workshops take place?

We can host workshops at various legal street art spots around Monterrey, or we can bring the mobile studio to your specific location. If you have a school yard, a community centre, or a private outdoor space, we can set up our protective foils and canvases there. We are very mobile and can adapt to different environments to make the project as accessible as possible for your youth group.

Do the participants need any previous art experience?

Not at all. Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding artists. Our expert instructors break down the process into easy steps, starting with simple lines and moving up to complex fills and shadows. We find that even the most hesitant teenagers quickly find their rhythm once they have a spray can in their hand. It is all about expression, not perfection.

The experience

Street art is a powerful tool for engagement. Our youth projects in Monterrey offer more than just a painting lesson; they provide a platform for confidence and teamwork. Here is why our workshops are a hit:

Authentic experience: Learn from real graffiti artists who live and breathe the culture. 🔥
Safe and legal: We provide a controlled environment where youth can express themselves without breaking the law.
Boosts confidence: Seeing a massive piece of art come to life gives participants a huge sense of achievement. 🏆
All inclusive: We handle everything from the premium spray cans to the protective gear.
No financial risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, you can book with total peace of mind.
Team building: Our collaborative murals encourage kids to communicate and work together toward a shared goal. ✨

Step by step

Introduction and safety briefing: We kick things off by meeting the group and handing out the protective gear. We explain how to use the equipment safely and respect the environment.
History and culture: Our artists share a brief, engaging history of graffiti culture to give the youth some context about the art form they are about to practice.
Mastering the nozzle: Participants learn how to control the spray can, practice different finger pressures, and understand how distance affects the lines.
Sketching the concept: Before hitting the wall, everyone spends time sketching their ideas on paper, planning out colours and shapes with guidance from the pros.
Outline techniques: It is time to start on the canvas or wall! We show the group how to scale their sketches into large scale outlines.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens. We teach the youth how to blend colours and create smooth gradients and "fills" within their letters.
Adding the details: We use specialised caps to add highlights, "power lines", and drips that make the artwork pop.
Final signatures: Every artist needs a tag. Each participant creates their own unique signature to sign off their work.
Group photo and cleanup: We wrap up with a massive group photo in front of the finished masterpiece and ensure the area is left tidy.

Good to know

Duration: Most sessions run for 2 to 3 hours, but we can customise this for full day events.
Group Sizes: We cater to everything from small groups of 10 to large community events with 50+ participants.
Included: High quality spray paint, gloves, respiratory masks, protective suits, and canvases or wall space.
Safety: Full safety briefing included. Our artists are experienced in managing youth groups and ensuring a secure environment.
Flexibility: We can host at our partner locations or come to your venue in Monterrey.
