Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and young people?

Absolutely. We prioritize the safety of all participants by providing high quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits. Our professional instructors conduct a thorough safety briefing before any spray cans are opened. We use low pressure paints that are easier to control, ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment for youth groups to explore their creativity without risks.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

Most of our youth project workshops in Cancun last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for an introduction to street art history, a demonstration of techniques, and plenty of hands on painting time. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into a larger community event or school project if you need a specific duration.

What materials are included in the youth project package?

We provide everything required for a successful street art experience. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, protective gear like masks and suits, and the painting surfaces themselves. You do not need to bring any specialized equipment. We recommend that participants wear old clothes and comfortable shoes just in case they get a little bit of paint on them.

Do we only learn how to write tags or do we create full murals?

While we can definitely teach you how to create your own signature tag using our online Tag Creator tool, our workshops go much further. We focus on teaching actual art skills, including shading, highlights, 3D effects, and composition. Our goal is to turn simple lettering into a collective masterpiece that the whole group can be proud of by the end.

How many participants can join a single youth project session?

Our workshops are perfect for various group sizes. Whether you have a small youth club of 10 people or a large community group of 50 or more, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional graffiti artists to ensure everyone receives personal guidance and stays safe throughout the creative process. the more the merrier!

Do the participants need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all. In fact, most of the young people we work with have never touched a spray can before. Our artists are expert teachers who break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We start with the basics of can control and build up to more advanced techniques. You will be amazed at what you can create in just one session.

Can you host the workshop at our own community location?

Yes, we believe in flexibility. While we have great locations available in Cancun, we can also bring the workshop to your youth centre, school, or community park. As long as there is adequate ventilation and permission to paint in the space, we are happy to set up our mobile street art studio wherever it is most convenient for your group.

Local culture

Cancun is world famous for its turquoise waters, but its urban art scene is just as vibrant behind the scenes. From the colourful murals found in the downtown area to the hidden gems in local neighbourhoods, the city serves as a magnificent backdrop for creative exploration. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging young people to contribute to the visual landscape of their own community. Graffiti in Cancun often reflects a mix of modern styles and traditional Mexican aesthetics, providing a rich cultural context for our youth projects.

Fun fact: Cancun actually hosts several international street art festivals where world class artists transform dull buildings into massive outdoor galleries, making it the perfect place for aspiring young artists to find inspiration!

Pricing

Our pricing is as flexible as our art. Because every youth project is unique, prices depend on your group size, the duration of the session, and the specific setup required at your chosen location. We offer competitive rates for community organisations and schools to ensure art is accessible to everyone in Cancun.
